About $200, mostly on teriyaki bowls, soda, snacks, and ramen.

Vestin: Protip: use decagrams. That's what most Polish people do anyway...
I know about decagrams.

It's the prices that kill me. 19,99 PLN/kilo for some regular meat? Please lay off the crack :P

Sounds reasonable to me... That's about 5zł for 250g. Makes sense.
Of course, I'm assuming you have some American point of reference that makes this weird by comparison...

That doesn't sound too bad to me (some meats can go well over 20€/kilo here), but then again I have no idea what's considered reasonable income out there.
\With my girlfriend visiting family, I was alone for the week and spend about 100 euros for just me in one week.

I know understand why I am not allowed to get groceries on my own.

I dunno where you're shopping. Most of my sandwich meat is ~35PLN a kilo. Although I only buy a quarter kilo a week.

Unless you're talking about meat for cooking dinner. That's a little wonky, then.

EDIT: Oh, and after thinking about it, I'm around 10 - 15PLN a day for food. Depends on if I bother to eat dinner or not. >.>

As I prefer good quality and fresh food, I spend quite a bit on food.
Most dairy products aren't too expensive here IMO. Fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, fish and meat however are more expensive. Food prices have definitely gone up and it seems they go up more for fresh food than frozen, dried or canned food.

I guess I'm spending around € 10 per day on food and drinks.

Perhaps you'd like to join the crusade to get the world to adopt el reg units?

As for the OP's question, are we including alcohol? Do I have to count getting drunk and buying a pizza?
As less as I can: I count on my parents' home for daily meals (lunch) and I consume very little in the evening, at my home....
Something around 30 PLN per day. I try to eat lots of meat, cheese and vegetables. Plus some rice and pasta. Ocasionally something asian.

Lobsang1979: I've definitely noticed the food prices going up in Northern Ireland very quickly, though.
Same thing here... Few years ago, 500g of bread was 20 denars, and nowadays you get 350g of bread for 35 denars. :/

A lot of the peanut crops got lost this year, apparently peanut butter will get jacked by 30-40% in the next month or two until next year around this time (provided they get a good crop). Yep, thanks climate change!

Of course I realize some of this shit is just plain random, but the frequency keeps going up and while that can still be random, that's certainly not he simplest or most likely situation. I expect food to keep getting more and more expensive due to both climate change and oil prices spiking wildly.
