If I'm not mistaking, as it's just an OS problem (no BR support on OSX) and not a hardware problem, it might be possible to use an external Blu Ray driver on a Mac running Windows.

Will it work using Parallel Desktop/VMware/Virtual Box/etc... (you name it)? Not sure but it should work with Boot Camp.
Well, at least I hope so, cause I'd be glad to benefit of Blu Ray's HD on my beautiful iMac screen in a near future...

You're obviously hot for his jock if you've been following him around long enough to know he's hijacked more than a few topics. Of course, all of your posts in this thread have had nothing to do with the subject at hand, either. Scoop the poop in your own backyard before you let your dog do it in someone else's.
Hot for his jock? I haven't seen it. I don't even know if 'he' is a guy, to be honest. And a dog poo analogy? Anyway, you clearly missed my post:

Darling_Jimmy: iPads: maybe never.
MacBook Pros: soon, I hope. But, if I'm not mistaken, DVD Studio Pro still isn't capable of authoring blu-ray discs (even though it can output H.264.) That is not a good sign.
