I was thinking about this while browsing GOG looking for more games to put on my wishlist, and I noticed I have more interest in buying games that have bonus content with them. Not being as familiar with these older games as much as other people, I don't have as many gamer memories to base my decision on. And this is when the value of their bonuses can be an important factor for me.

So how likely are you to choose one game over another, based on what it offers as bonus content?
It doesn't matter to me, but it is a nice perk of buying those games. I just buy games I think I'll like and find out if I do. So far, none have disappointed me.
It isn't really important to me at all. I won't pick one game over another because of bonus content. However, I /really/ appreciate having soundtracks in the bonus content. I love video game soundtracks, and collect/buy them when I can, so I reckon free soundtracks are a great plus.
I don't make my decision soley on that. So if a game only comes with a manual or something, if it's a game I want I'll still buy it. If it's not a game I want but it has nice freebies, I still won't buy it.
Soundtracks are a fairly major draw, I got POP: Sands Of Time for the soundtrack even though I had a perfectly fine physical copy of the game. Stuff like wallpapers & concept art aren't a draw for me since I look at them once then never look at them again. Detailed 'making of' stuff is good though, the Fallout Bible and the video that comes with Another World are great examples of the right way to do it.
For me the GAME is always FIRST.
With the bonus, I have fun as long as e.g. the soundtracks runs, which is VERY NICE TO HAVE!
But never forget the GAME is what you are supposed to play for hours, days, weeks...
Bonuses are VERY NICE but less essential.

If there are ADD-ON Campaigns/ Mods etc. included in the package, like e.g. Postal 2 Complete or Sacrifice Gold, it is a whole different thing.

Agreed. I recently found out the game Darkwatch (which is one of my all time favorites) has an art book and soundtrack that I am now hunting down for on Amazon. Art and music is always appreciated, especially quality music like in Duke Nukem (ringtones) and Baldur's Gate.
Not really important, since it is possible to rip out certain goodies, like soundtracks, from the games anyway for personal consumption. It's nice to have though. It doesn't affect my purchasing choice in GOG's store, but it does affect which digital distributor I choose to buy from. That, and price, mainly.
They're really important. Usually a deciding factor for me.

I think this makes you the perfect target audience for GOGmixes :3.
Never used to matter to me, but these days with other services also selling the same games (and at times, at a cheaper price), if there's no extras then there's no point in specifically purchasing from here for me.
Never based a purchase on it or really consider them when picking games but oh the joy in downloading soundtracks and pics. Never change GOG...
Not much actually, but i do enjoy the soundtracks if the music is somewhat memorable and the manuals get a look see if the game is giving me trouble. Maps and stuff get seen out of curiosity's sake, but I don't bother much with artworks or avatars. Maybe I should. Been a long time since I've played McMillan, surely there has to be something better as an avvie somewhere in my stash of games.

Is it enough of a perk to make you want to buy it here than anywhere else, if it's available anywhere else?

Soundtracks are awesome! I collect them too.

haha I'm the opposite. I might not buy it immediately because of the extras, but I'd certainly save it for later.

For me, pretty much everything is a major draw, but I'm easily amused by the shiny bonuses :)

How can I do this?

None whatsoever. Wow, Duke Nukem 3D gives me some goddamn SMS tones. Thanks, GOG!
