Dumb question, but I was looking at their current promo for Tex Murphy: Tesla Effect and then I saw the size of the game: 15 GB

How does GOG handle file downloads of that size? How do users manage to do that? To me, that sounds like a month of going back and forth.

They usually split games in a few 1.5 GB fragments and a small installer.
Depending on your speeds, at least 1 byte at a time to a maximum of whatever their servers allow. If you have slow internet then I believe the GOG Downloader is a download manager that lets you resume it if it takes you multiple days.

Essentially yes, it is possible to use FreeDownload Manager, but you'll have time out problems if you try to use it to resume downloads midway through. At least for larger downloads. But, for people with a download cap, it might be useful to resume smaller downloads.
I can download 15GB in about an hour or so, and have done it off of GoG before with no issue
Just use the GOG download manager as many have suggested:

You should be able to download anything at full download speed, pausing and resuming if necessary without problems.
In case of Tesla Effect its 11 parts, the installer 1.2MB and the other 10 Parts 1,5GB.
I personally download all Games with the GOG Downloader djdarko posted, i save all files on one HDD.
One Folder called Tex Murphy with the subfolders Setup, Patch, Bonus Content etc... well so i sort all my gog games ;) Download Covers, Trailers and so on...
OK. Wow. That's... impressive. Eleven 1.2 GB chunks would take me... awhile.
Can I borrow some of trentonlf's internet?
