Starhawk64: I work the night shift at my job, so I play games in the morning. After my shift is over, I usually stay up an hour or two and play then as well. I do find that I have less time for games though and tend to shy away from time-consuming genres like RPGs. Those are usually reserved for the weekends, which I have off. I also find I that waste more time just surfing the internet, and like most PC gamers, have a huge backlog of games I'll never around to playing due to Steam and GOG sales. Is it really saving money if I never play the games I buy?
Hmmmmm....that's actually a really interesting question. :)

With all due respect, I find it to be a waste of money on your part, when you could be doing so many other things with it, rather than buying something you'll never play (if you mean "never" in the literal sense). But you are supporting GOG and the people involved...

At least it's more environmentally sound to have that huge pile in virtual format from GOG/Steam than in cardboard/Plastic.

i hope to eventually play and finish all my collection, but i might have to stick to the premium titles first and work backwards to the older B material. For me, collecting good games on the cheap is half the fun. My purchase today is a perfect example. GG had Medieval2 Gold Total War for $2.48 which is a great deal for this game. Although i rarely play strategy games, i thought about it all weekend and an hour before the sale ended, i caved in an bought it. i feel happy just to have it in my GG game shelf and hopefully someday i will get to it.
alert, sad/pathetic story ahead:

at the moment I don't have a girlfriend, I meet my friends mostly in the pub once a week, not much other activities in my life. even though I'm semi-adult and work already, I kind of live the prolonged college life, so when I get back from work, I start up my computer and play games or watch tv shows...

so as you can see, this is more or less the optimal environment for playing and finishing games, still I have a huge back log and even though I have almost none social life, I need more time to play :)

so, you should probably be glad you have not much time :D
