Holiday Sale Day 9: Daedalic Games

Dear Diary:

I have hunkered down in my bunker and propped the furniture against the door as proof against zombie hordes. The world is still possibly ending tomorrow. Things look grim. I have eaten the last of the twinkies I stockpiled for the apocalypse--the local shop was out of stock and they only had three--and I am unsure what to do. I have hooked up my stationery bike to my computer, but am frustrated because a paper bicycle doesn't seem to do anything to charge it. If only my grasp of homonyms was better, I could have avoided this!

Regardless, I have batteries, and time. What should I do? If this world is ending, my best bet seems to escape it and lose myself in another world. If only I knew of a place where I could find lush, living worlds filled with promise, puzzles, and fun to distract me from the end.

If only I knew of a site that had games like The Whispered World, , [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/edna_harvey_the_breakout_harveys_new_eyes]Edna and Harvey: The Breakout and Edna and Harvey's New Eyes, Dark Eye: The Chains of Satinav, and A New Beginning, all for sale for as little as $4.99 each--less than the price of a box of twinkies. If only I had the capacity to full my mind with adventure games instead of my hollow belly with plastic wrappers, this tragedy would be endurable!

But, alas, I know of no such place. I have barricaded myself away from the Internet and from phone lines. I do not want to know how the world ends. Instead I will sit here, in the dark.

Waiting.

Toast_burner: I believe the deal yesterday included all the deals that had happened and that will happen. There won't be any new deals which weren't featured yesterday.
avatar
Genduke47: Actually they did say there was at least one deal that they didn't post yesterday, but they won't tell us what it is or what day it will be on.
They did say that deal would include Baldur's Gate 2, so my money (literally and figuratively) is on it being a DnD themed bundle.

Already spent too much on yesterday's promo...Skipping
Anything I've played so far from deadalic tops even the most classic adventure games, or at least the german versions do.

I saw somewhere that MM4 and 5 are now with speech.
Just found it in the forums (in the Missing Content thread):

CD versions of Might & Magic 4 and 5 (Worlds of Xeen) with full voice acting for all the NPCs

I'm looking for the Sierra pack, but I don't see it.

Closely missed it. Try Daedalic games, you won't regret.
Did we save the world by buying this yesterday?

That was surprisingly good timing to put the big end of the world sale the day before Steam started theirs.
I see what you did there...

Stationary bicycle indeed...
I dont want to buy this bundle, but maybe...

Is the Soundtrack for "Chains of Satinav" complete? I am generelly not interessted in the "english only" version but the soundtrack with 14 titles was in germany only available as part of the CE. Does GOG have the complete soundtrack?

Rincewind81:
Just downloaded my copy, the title tracks are all English, and unlike the Deponia soundtracks it does not appear to have a German version (unfortunately).
I'm skimming through the 14 tracks to find which ones have speech....

Edit: Epic soundtrack though.

Thanks!
14 tracks seems to be the full soundtrack. I dont think and hope that there is any voice acting - this should just be just instrumental.

Rincewind81:
Yeah it was only instrumental, just all English titles.
