Today we’re starting our holiday celebrations as promised with a 48 hour sale of [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_witcher_2]The Witcher 2 for just $23.99--with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free! Celebrate the holidays by giving that special someone in your gaming life over a hundred hours of nonlinear mature RPG goodness, filled with intricate plots, beautiful visuals, and intense action, or pick it up for yourself if you haven’t yet.

This is the best price we’ve had on the Witcher franchise so far--and a better price than we’ll have on these two games when the holiday sale proper starts on Monday--so there’s never been a better time to get these awesome games from our sister company CD Projekt RED.

UPDATE: If you want to gift The Witcher 2 + the free Witcher: Enhanced Edition, be sure to add The Witcher 2 AND The Witcher: EE to your cart (The Witcher: EE will be for free then) after that check-out while selecting to gift this order.

If you’re not familiar with the Witcher games, here’s the skinny on them: you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer with superhuman abilities called a Witcher. In The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you are suffering from amnesia and remember nothing of your past. Kaer Morhen, the last remaining keep of the witchers, was attacked by a mysterious organization, and though you and your allies fought off the invasion, the secret recipe for the mutagen, a substance required to create more of your kind, has been stolen. It is up to you and your friends to explore the mysteries of the world of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and punish those responsible. Before long you will find yourself swept up in a giant cataclysm that will wrack the Kingdom of Temeria, upsetting everything in its wake.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place several months after the first game in the series. Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the king in the his mission to bring peace to the country. The last bastions of the Order of the Rose have yielded to the royal army and the only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette. This will not be as easy at it may sound, however, and you will soon find yourself fighting for your life to protect everything that you hold dear.

This sale will be running from now until 10 December at 10:59 GMT, and then once that’s ended we’ll be starting our crazy blizzard of holiday bonus codes. If you haven’t picked up these award-winning RPGs yet, don’t wait any longer!

UPDATE: If you already have The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition, please contact support to get a giftable code for The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition when buying The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in this promo.
Actually, we will honor the request even if it's sent after the promo ends, as long as the order itself was made during the promo, obviously. :) A plague hit my fellow Support Guys yesterday, but all of you will get your codes by Monday at the latest. I apologize for the delays, though.
And what about those few of us, that didn't read the post and bought TW2 without putting TW:EE in the basket?

So should I remove Witcher EE from my cart, purchase only Witcher 2, then submit a ticket?

I own Witcher EE on Steam, which will not be recognized, so gifting to myself isn't going to work apparently.

I'm not sure owning it on Steam counts, for the purpose of being able to get a gift code.

Hence my asking, because otherwise I'll end up with Witcher 2 on Steam just to keep it with all my other games.

The incentive here is the gift code, not the sale.

Petrell: You can redeem the games you don't own and gift rest of the games to someone else
Yes, that's what I said.
But if pack contains more than one game which you don't own then you can't redeem only one of them - by using "redeem gift" button you will get all of them.

Oh. As the prize is the only gift I've received and wanted all of the games, I haven't had the change to test if you could redeem only games you wanted. So you can't?

TheEnigmaticT: If you *just* bought the game for your friend, then it's possible that you need to wait a few hours to buy the game again; I believe we have something like that as an anti-fraud measure. If you try again in a few hours and it's still a problem, contact support and they will get you sorted.
Thank you for your reply. Since the problem persists, I have contacted support a few minutes ago.
This is truly a xmas Bargain!

In such cases there is only one "redeem" button for whole pack, so I can not see the option how to redeem "chosen single games".
This offer was the reason why I joined GOG.com! Very nice and good service. I especially love the sleek and clean UI of your pages! I also got full bandwidth from your servers when I downloaded the games and I have quite fast connection. :)

Even the installation program was well done, simple but beautiful. I'm happy.
I picked up the retail copy months ago from NCIX here in Canada and never touched it since. Itching for a lengthy RPG (and refusing to plonk $60 for Skyrim), I've since opened my copy and was astounded by the sheer content it holds. Sure, none of the posters or papercrafts will be displayed nor will the manuals be read, and I'll probably just YouTube the Dev Diaries, but you guys really know how to add value to your products.

I'm not the biggest fan of this franchise (the first one was alright but not the holy grail of CRPGS as many have claimed), but I am a big fan of GOG.com and CDPR. So, in lieu of this deal and me being too lazy to disassemble my PC case, I'm going to have to buy this again on GOG.com.

Oh and sending the first game as a stocking stuffer is pretty neat, too.
The gift promo for the first one is only for those who already have it on gog, right? I have it retail, but I guess that doesn't count. No big deal though, still the best price so far for Witcher 2.
I just knew I'll run into problems with this. Having bought what was supposedly The Witcher 2 Bundle for a friend of mine (which I interpreted as already having The Witcher EE as a part of the bundle, as advertised), I only got The Witcher 2 inside, and no The Witcher EE. Only then I realized, after investigating the matter, that somewhere in the two page-long promo note it was stated that I had to take an extra step of adding The Witcher EE manually into the package to get it for free. I feel that I was screwed with the promo now, cause it looks like it's the extra $9,99 for me if I also want to gift The Witcher EE, unless the support upgrades my promo code to the full advertised bundle or at least sends me the code for The Witcher EE separately. :\ Submitted a ticket. I hope the service for gifts will be cleaner in the future, I'm not a huge fan of reading super huge messages, looking into every nook and cranny for potential tricks before buying anything. I would much prefer if buying (especially buying Christmas gifts) were a cleaner and less frustrating procedure.

[EDIT]: Just to make sure - yes, I own both TW1 EE and TW2 here myself.

Hi there, same problem here : bought The Witcher 2 during this extra cool special offer but didn't add The Witcher 1 EE in my cart... Contacted the support but no way I can tell if they got my message or not : there is no "confirmation" that your message was sent good :(.

Hope I'll get my ticket for The Witcher 1 EE, it's a christmas gift for my dad, I already bought both games when they showed up on GOG :).

Thank you guys for being awesome !
