For those who are interested and lazy - working link:

Could be interesting, although I'm not too enthusiastic about its episodic nature and the idea that a police lieutenant needs the baby-dollface of an innocent looking teenager and the (scantily clad) body of a top model in order to appeal to gamers ... Not really inspiring confidence in their character-painting skills, is all I'm saying. ;)
All these interesting KickStarters these days.

Way to much!

I feel the same way.

I've asked Kickstarter to remind me though, so they'll send me an email when the campaign is nearly finished because I'm mildly intrigued.

If I had any money I'd give them some just for a HD wallpaper of the female protagonist.. rawr...
The cutscene material looks very good and the sci-fi police theme sounds very cool.
I'm not sure about episodic content though, I'm always reminded of SiN when I hear that term.
Also I'm assuming you would get 'just' the first episode since they don't want to promise more than they can actually deliver.

Wow, the main character's face looks creepy. Hailing right from uncanny valley.

She has a face?
I was looking somewhere else...
Her 'clothing' looks like she went through a laminator.
The good:
*Scifi.
*Reasonable amount of money being asked for.

The bad:
*Don't like the character design at all.
*Episodic.

Wish them luck though.
Having the "Blade Runner" box in their video was enough to get me to back it. I'm just hoping for something remotely like that game.

And regarding the protagonist, she's defnitely a bit too anime/teenage fantasy. If they are going for a realistic and gritty atmosphere, then they need to do a bit better. She doesn't have to be ugly, but just not look like a plastic doll.
Fixed OP's link. Amazing what some misplaced quotation marks can do to a link :D.
Tex Murphy is the last project for me for the time being. I wish the new projects luck, but personally I need to see what will happen with the ones I've backed now.
at least, they don't ask for much money to get this done. But I will step out. There are too many kickstarters today, and I do wait for something special.
I wish more people would care for this project, it looks promising.

Yeah, I'm not really digging the character design (for the same reasons as you give - that and her face looks really creepy, and the soldiers look like clones of the protagonist from Crusader), but I will give the designers credit for the art of the game world itself; it really reminds me a lot of The Fifth Element.

Oh yeah, and they're doing a cross-platform release right out of the gate. Massive props to them for that.
