Hey :)
I got a hankering to delve to Oblivion again. I've installed a couple of my usual mods (OOO, Open Cities as well as the Qarls Textures) and I tried a couple of new mods - Stealth Overhaul and AF Levelling Thing.
They all appear to play nicely either each other expect the Stealth Overhaul. When I start a new game it gives me the setup options for it but never again. And it appeals to me a LOT more than the stealth changes in the OOO. However the OOO has a LOT of gameplay improvements that I want to keep especially scrapping the scaled leveling. When you leave of going to Kvatch until your Uber you face Golden Saints, and basically poor bandits have Deadric stuff. I want to be able to waltz into an early level cave and rip shit and bust.
Basically, in summary, does anyone know how to get the Stealth Overhaul to override the OOO stealth bits?
Karl
Is it this mod ? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6359
Well there seems to be an .ini file with the mod, so you certainly can tweak things there.
As for SO overriding the OOO stealth parts, normally you just have to make sure that SO loads AFTER OOO in your load order. I don't know what you're using, but personnally I use Wrye Bash (compatibility tweaks between mods) and BOSS (reorganizing the load order according to the compatibility tests made by the modder's community). BOSS works flawlessly with Wrye Bash, it is even recommended to use both of them and it saves hours of fine-tuning with mods (I have more than 350 mods installed now).
Speaking of Oblivion Mods, a total conversion was just released called Nehrim.
I downloaded it last night, haven't had a chance to fire it up but it looks fairly ginormous with a totally new setting, lore, etc.

Its originally in German, I think the voice acting is in German too (not 100% if english is available or not voiced), subtitles available in English. Looks fairly sweet.
EDIT: I fixed my link chautemoc

I might get those a try. I use OBMM myself.
Well, I use OBMM for the OMODs but for anything else, including fine tuning, I found Wrye Bash far better !
I'm trying with Boss and Wrye Bash and I reinstalled the game and new mods. Getting a CTD straight away. It was using FCOM instead of OOO but changed my mind. It was working until I installed OOO though. Still trying.
Edit - Was missing as ESM file... Which I accidentally deleted. Ahem.
Now I just need to get Wrye Bash to detect the OBSE I have is greater than v17 so that supreme magicka will work.

Did you see that on the bottom left of the main Wrye Bash Window, there's a box you can tick to tell Wrye Bash to launch Oblivion via OBSE ?

Yeah I did see that however when I used that it didn't register any clicks on the menu in game. It seems to have resolved itself now.
Thank you for you help :)

If you managed to install OOO, maybe you can help me.
I tried to install it (along with the Unofficial patches) but I ran into a few problems. I keep running into big yellow "WTF! I'm missing a mesh" (or something like that). I wonder if I installed a corrupted version? Or did I simply installed it wrong? The version I downloaded was an exe file which holds files to copy in the directories.
Could you tell me which file I should get (and which version)? And how I should install it?

I also downloaded the new MOD Nehrim but have not tried it yet.
I got it from fileshack. I think the Fileshack description stated it was an English version with German voice acting. It is a pretty good size at 1.60GB.

Hey,
The version I used is the Omod version. It's a rar (or 7zip) file. If you use OBMM then this can install it correctly.
In OBMM click "create". Then "add archive" and locate the OOO.zip (or whatever it's called). Click "yes" when it pops up and then "create omod".
Once this is done you can select it in OBMM and click "activate".
www.texnexus.com has good information on it.

Yep, I've been playing it a bit. It's German voice but English sub-titles, which I don't mind. The German voice acting actually sounds pretty good, but then again I can't really judge since I don't know what the hell they're saying. The world is huge though, definitely on par with Oblivion or bigger with everyone voice acted, this is a huuuge undertaking mod wise. Gameplay is basically the same, there are definitely tweaks to the combat, magic, and leveling and you can sort of pick from 4 different classes (paladin, thief, warrior, mage) once you get past the beginning stage of the game. I'm a few hours in and barely gotten a start on the game, huge amount of space to explore, so far I'm very impressed with the quality and size of the whole thing.
