Hi Peeps

I just ordered 7 games, 1 for me and 6 to give away. Because I ordered them all at once, it came with only 1 key.

Is there a way to get the game I wanted for myself and reuse the key as a giveaway for the other 6 games ?

Thanks for reading and you patience (I am still learning lol)

Bet this makes a couple people smile :)
You have to gift them to a person who already have the game you want for your own or contact GOG support.

/e: For instance: If you want to gift 6 games and I have 2 of them, then the gift code still contains 4 games :)

Well the best thing to do is ask support to change them to individual keys.

The other option would be to redeem what you want from the code, and then give the code to others. If someone already has a game, they cannot redeem another. So the key stays until enough people take all the games. It could go to one person who doesn't have any of them, or it could go to 6 individuals.....

You know, one incredibly handsome fella has already made a wishlist entry for this.

No probs. You're not the first to have problems with it:

LMAO - SimonG and gameon - I already voted for this :)
Contact the support, they will separate them, no worries ;-)
Edit: Ah, reading failure on my part. The following answer does not actually apply to your question, sorry. I'll let it stand since the details are little known (but useful), but in your case, you probably need to contact support.

Keys actually are already reusable - they do, however, assume that you want to grab all games that you don't already have.

If you already own the 7th game (the one that you wanted to give away), then just redeem the key. The 6 new games will be added to your account, the 7th game (that you already own) won't. Then give the key to the recipient of the gift, who can redeem the remaining game.

If you _don't_ own the 7th game already, then you need to contact support.

Thanks for all the replies - I will try support, as it will save me buying that 1 game again :)

EDIT - sent a request for support, thank you again for being a brill community whilst I am still learning :)

Received a reply from support, who are going to split it for me (thank you very much).

However it will cost them almost as much as they would make in the 1st place which makes me feel bad :(

I have requested that the GOG team look again at the "multiple keys for a single purchase", as this would solve the issue once and for all.

Again, I am sorry to GOG, and will ensure I don't make the same mistake twice.
