This is going to sound incredibly silly, but I need a few kind people to help me verify if this mod (Code 11) has malware. 2 days ago, I downloaded a mod (SSF 2.2) from hotswatmods.com, and 20 out of 41 scanners from Virustotal flagged one of the files as dangerous (containing a generic trojan), so I'm extremely paranoid about SWAT 4 mods now.

However I want to give this new mod that I just downloaded (Code 11) a shot, and Avast says it's clean. I also scanned a few of the files on Virustotal, but there are too many to scan, so I need someone with virus scans other than Avast to help me verify. I'm 80% convinced the mod doesn't have malware, but better to be sure than uncertain.

I really appreciate anyone who can come out and help me with this. Thanks! :D

You will be fine with anything you download from Fileplanet, everything they put up is checked and verified before anyone is allowed to download it. They are now part of the IGN group (unfortunately though Fileplanet is currently being removed and archived). For mods in the future I would suggest ModDB as I have had a few from there and are absolutely fine also.

Good to know FP checks their files first. Yeah it's a shame they are being archived. Still, if anyone is willing to have a go at verifying the mod to give me some peace of mind ... :3
Try free portable apps such as Dr.Web CureIt or Microsoft Safety Scanner -- they will not install crap on your computer, just scan for viruses. Also, it's probably a good idea to run random untrusted executable code in Sandboxie or a virtual machine.
DL'd the file on two systems, one with AVG the other Avast. Scanned with both with no threat detected. Also scanned with Spybot S&D with no threat detected. All three apps are up-to-date. No guarantees but . . . it appears to be safe IMHO.
Scanned with AVIRA - looks fine

Sorry I was away on holiday so I didn't reply sooner, but thanks so much for helping me scan the file. To thank you guys, I'll gift each of you a game of your choice - any GOG that's on sale in the BOTG offer, or just on sale in general. PM me when the game you want is on offer :)
