SimonG: And it is co-op. Mr Gamer, I assume we have a date?
Oh you bet we do!

crdy123: Hey GOG, I need a bit of help deciding on some games. I am trying to decide on weather I should pre order Darksiders 2 from Get Games because it's only $37, or buy a few games like Just Cause 2, and Arma 2 AO, thanks.
To actually come back to the original question. It might be better in general to wait a few weeks until the game has "settled". Depending how long that $ 37 deal lasts, you might wanna wait for initial reports on bugs, etc.

The reason I asked the question now is because it's a preorder sale, so it will only be on sale until it comes out.

hmm.... $ 37 for any new game is sweet. And Darksiders 1 was a really good game. Tough decision.

Sorry mate, you are out on your own ;-P.

(I would still stand by my "wait with JC2" remark, it goes on sale really often.)

SimonG: Spec Ops has DLC !!?!?!?

Where? WHERE?!

orcishgamer: Wait what???

HOLY SHIT AND IT'S FREE!

Oh, I thought that DLC was only avaible as PreOrder bonus, but hell, every news about free DLC is a good news!

I used Spec Ops, because I wouldn't feel good about spending 40 bucks (initial price in PL) on a game that a month later is for 15. Man needs to count his monies :P

Darksiders one was brillaint, Weapons were insanely underpowered though, even on normal difficulty. Guess it was balanced because enemies weren't too harmful either.

Now, Apparently Darksiders II Has some decent RPG elements, Loot, And a bigger open world. Been a fanatic for Large open worlds I have two words... FUCK. YES. (As long as some of the items are unique as they were in Darksiders one. New unlocks made you feel like a boss.)
I say get Darksiders 2 now for the $37.99 GGG has it at. You'll get a key and can start pre-loading on Steam right away. But do note that pre-loading will become "suspended" before it finishes. That's nothing to worry about, it's just a quirk of the new download system.

If you wait till the Steam sales, you'll probably only see 33% off at most. Which given GGG's current 22% off isn't that great a bargain to wait for if you want to play Darksiders 2 at release.

crdy123: Darksiders 2 from Get Games
What is Get Games like as a service? Are the downloads like GOG or is a client required?

It's just another digital distribution site, no I think there is a downloader like GOG's.

Well I bought Darksiders II, and now I have to wait until 10 PM to play it because that's when the game unlocks for me to play, I have it preloaded and it does say preload suspended
