I am looking for a strategy game about the Battle of Britain. There are lots simulators but I am looking for something where you are head of fighter command or something like that, not an individual pilot.

I really like Achtung Spitfire but I am burned out on it. Are there any other strategy game about the Battle of Britain?
No idea about the game never played it, but maybe this http://www.mobygames.com/game/battle-of-britain_ ?
Battle for Britain II : Wings of Victory

??
If you want a true strategy game:

http://www.matrixgames.com/products/320/details/Gary.Grigsby%27s.Eagle.Day.to.Bombing.the.Reich

Other than that, you have "The few", affordable but offering a more "casual" approach to "strategy"
Another vote for this one, one of the best combinations of flight sim and simulation.
A very helpfull forum as well for new comers..

But go direct to the new developers forum where the people who update the game post. Started out as a Rowan game, but like GoG A2A updated it to a modern game. After you apply their platest patch (or any of their older patches) the game is protection free. But it must be patched to the latest update.

I would call that a flight simulator with strategic elements. A very good game though

The original Rowan's BoB also had a decent air raid/intercept planning mode. You could ignore the simming completely.

Especially if one considers that these games are old talonsoft productions ( 1999 or so) that got revamped. The price is outrageous. And I'm not sure they ever run sales.

Battle of Britain II also has this strategy mode, and the battle can be waged from the map room. But you leave a good deal of the game aside. Note that Matrix's price remains high. When the game was intially released , I got the boxed version for a third of its current price.
