I've seen some pieces on Gamespot where artists don't paint the exact icon, but they paint in the style of that particular game i.e. Using sprites and "Tron"-ish lighting for "Darwina" or using a folkish art style with pinatas for "Viva Pinata"

Hell, when I get round to it, I'm bogged down in my Master's work at the minute. I feel guilty for leaving it for so long, so I have to focus on writing at the minute. Trust me, I have not forgotten though and I have all the pictures and ideas people have come up with all saved on my HD.
