I had a set of corsair 2000 then they went faulty after a couple of months so I paid a bit extra and swapped them for the 2100 which went faulty after 2 months. I'm preferably after a set of surround sound cans with a big bass driver in them. I will mainly be using them for games, films and sometimes music as I already have a set of roland rh-200's for production/monitoring etc.

I am open to suggestions in any price range up to £200 including separate headphone and mic combinations (as long as I have both hands free and the boom on the mic is long enough) As I said i already have the monitoring cans and i have a couple of sm58 mics and a condenser with boom stands etc so I can plug one into my soundcard (focusrite scarlett 18i6) but was hoping to get it all in one headset with the 5 or 7.1 as there would be cables everywhere and there would be a large vocal mic in my face while im playing.

I was considering the steelseries siberia elite 7.1 (the pro's choice apparently so they haver to be good right?) but now am leaning towards Plantronics GameCom GC780 (cheap as hell and supposed to be as good quality as the big boys).

lots of conflicing reviews and different information out there to go through so any opinions would be a big help :)

Cheers in advance!

Edit: Forgot to mention wireless Isn't that important, its what went faulty on the last set I had anyway.

For what it's worth, my low end steelseries 3H is still working after .... 3 years ?
I would have stopped sound based activities a long time ago if my headsets had lasted 2 months .... and probably sold my ears too.

Plantronics Gamecom are a very good pair of headphones, good mic. The only problem is the bass which is pretty weak. I have a pair myself. The quality is good, some people say it can get warm if you wear them too long but I haven't felt anything. They feel very good to, if your ears are regular size.

Many pros and just one con at least for me. The only con being a pretty weak bass but I fiddled around a little with some options in the sound panel and it got much better.

Hope this helps!
For just general audio (gaming, listening to music, listening to movies etc etc) I really liked my Sony MDR-ZX100 headphones I had. They cost $20 and sounded better (and were more comfortable) than some of more expensive headphones I own (including a pair of Sennheiser headphones).
I just ordered the gamecom 780's on account of the good reviews and them being ridiculously cheap, cheers for the advice guys :)
