evilnancyreagan: Does this venture into movies suggest that the games front of the DRM Revolution is at a stalemate? Is expanding outside of games now the only way GOG can grow? Has the community's decision against regional pricing done more harm or good?
Does this venture into movies suggest that the games front of the DRM Revolution is at a stalemate?

No, not really :) We are still pursuing both new old games just as we were before and the addition of movies is not detracting from our efforts :)

Is expanding outside of games now the only way GOG can grow?

No, it's not just a way for us to grow but to try something new for us. While the selection of movies may be small now, we hope to expand it just as we did with our games.

evilnancyreagan: You're not supposed to answer my rhetorical questions, now how am I going to whip the forums up into a frenzied, speculative pandemonium?! Oh Judy, always squashing all the joy in my heart ;p
I am sure you'll find something else worthy of lighting the old pitchfork :P

BadDecissions: You've been "pursuing" LucasArts since this site came into existence; how's that going, again?

Maybe this sounds harsh, but frankly, who cares what you're "pursuing?" You need to catch something, and my previous post in this thread sums up how likely I think that is.

Obviously, I'd like for it to happen.

You'll have to ask a certain mouse about that as, seriously speaking now, getting one of the most desired publishing/development houses onto our catalog is not easy, unfortunately :(
