Anybody remember this one? It's real time with actual Platforms many of which I recognized from time in the Navy. Maybe if we get a bunch to ask for it GOG will get it out. Even if you don't particularly care do it for the old retired Navy guy..... ME. Thanks

Harpoon is available for free online, somewhere, legally, along with the theater packs. Err - just checked. It WAS available online for free but is now part of a bundle pack at Matrix Games. I think I got it from Advanced Gaming Systems but they no longer carry it. Given that Matrix has this bundle for $60, I'd be surprised if it made an appearance here.

This game sucked up sooooo much of my time. Just loved it way back when. I spent hours just looking through the unit info pages, let alone actually playing the game. I dl'ed it a while back and installed it; not sure it aged well. For sure some of the mechanics are sorely dated, but that may be a necessity of the manner in which the game is intended to be played.

Yep, Matrix has the publishing rights, and the guys who made Harpoon : Advanced Naval Warfare (Advanced Gaming Systems) are the current devs. The latest package, Harpoon Ultimate Edition, includes every single version of the game ever released.

This was one of my favourite wargame. This game is a timesink.... sucks up all the free time I have!

Hunting down those pesky red subs..... and those long range soviet bombers.

Hey great replies, looks like a few people have played and like this game. I will keep pugging for it and pester GOG to get at least one of the versions!!! I agree I spent way too much time playing this one, but it's as close to the real warfare scenario as you can get. Merry Christmas to everyone out there. Hope you get the game of your dreams!
