That's frustrating, but not only for the person in question. My girlfriend's birthday is not long after Christmas, which means that I have to buy presents well in advance, because after Christmas, all shops are devoid of anything even remotely interesting. The first time around, I learned the hard way.

Yeah my brothers is the 14th of january and he's a bastard to shop for at the best of times much less when everything is still in the post christmas coma

No worries, it's still enough time between birthday and Christmas for her to get 2 gifts :) I'd say she'll love december because traditionally we're giving a small gift on 6th december as well :)
