prakaa: yeah the size can be an issue, especially if your mobo is crowded like mine...
On my own system, I had a similar issue. Phenom II 965 BE ( which is heating a lot as well ) in an Xigmatek Asgard case , with a crossair formula mobo, that has a sisterboard for its sound module... The design of the mobo makes it difficult for coolers with 12cm fans. The AMD stock cooler was unsufficient, with idle temps in the 55+ C. With a noctua and its twin 9 cms fans , I'm down to 28 C idle.

GameRager: Well the first one I listed is the one I use. It's not that heavy and similar to the one you just listed(albeit with one fan) for 30 bucks or so. It's also quiet as fuk.
I was in fact commenting on the V6. massive and noisy. I already saw one and I would personnaly avoid it. Just have a look at the result in an Armor tower case :

Solved! The CPU overheating was the problem, now that i have another cooler, around high 30s, to 4 at idle, everything is hitting at least 60fps

possibly the only problem is the GPU now, when running Just Cause 2, it spikes to 70 degrees, after stopping it, it slowly comes down to normal..

just checking, with my cooler, Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev. 2, is 42ish normal at idle (for cores, the CPU is about 27-30)? Considering it's an i7 950?

perfectly normal, and quite good for a 950 I think ...

Fine !

for the GPU, a 480 actually has a 250W TDP. If your system wasn't actively ventilated, the beast would reach 95° C ... piece of good news : fermi chipsets can operate without problems up to 105° C ... piece of bad news : it's not always easy to add additional cooling solutions like thermalright's VRM cooler

well that's sort of good, means my comp is well ventilated, and at least it's not hitting 90!
