I have the retail spanish version of the game.
Despite Alcachofa Soft being a spanish developer, the game was released in other countries first. Later when it was released in Spain, they introduced some improvements. These improvements must be the ones Psyringe mentions.

About the game, I wouldn't consider an excelent game like the reviews in the official page ( mostly spanish reviewers). I would give about 7/10. If you like advenure games you should play it.
Hey, these are the guys that made the Mortadelo y Filemon game, right?

Damn. I remember it was in an indie bundle but I kinda forgot about it. :\

Yes, they have made several Mortadelo y Filemón:
-Mortadelo y Filemón: Una Aventura de Cine
-Mortadelo y Filemón: Balones y Patadones
-Mortadelo y Filemón: Mamelucos a la Romana
-Mortadelo y Filemón: El Escarabajo de Cleopatra
-Mortadelo y Filemón: Operación Moscú
-Mortadelo y Filemón: El Sulfato Atómico

And they also made:
-El Tesoro de Isla Alcachofa
-Dráscula: The Vampire Strikes Back

By the way "Alcachofa" means "artichoke", if my translation is right

The bundle which contains one of the Mortadelo y Filemón is for games developed in Spain:
http://tusjuegos.com/solidario/

which also contains Runaway 1 from Pendulo Studios.

They've made several? Well damn, I had no clue. I think I saw Una Aventura de Cine at a local supermarket but I wasn't able to buy it yet. And yes, Alcachofa is Artichoke in English.

I downloaded Drascula quite a while ago from ScummVM's website but I never really got past the intro...

Wishbone: Yeah, if only they hadn't made it multiplayer-only from the beginning, it would probably have survived. If they also hadn't made it Steam-only, even I would have played it.
Dude, Steamworks is perfect for multiplayer-only games. Steam is easily the biggest platform in the market for PC games. If i recall correctly it has more than 40 million accounts right now. Not to mention that Steam makes it MUCH easier and cheaper for small studios like this one to keep a multiplayer game alive. Keeping servers up for multiplayer games is not cheap, you know, especially for an INDIE team.

The lack of players problem has nothing to do with it being Steam-only.

johnki: I'm kind of hoping a lot of people get Dino D-Day. The game, while not entirely dead, has had a very small amount of daily players recently, following what I'd call a pretty bad release. When it first released, everyone in the server would run in place and randomly jump to new locations, at least for both myself and my girlfriend.

Since then, I've gone back and tried to play it again, and it works, and it's a hell of a lot of fun, but it's pretty empty.

Plus, WWII and dinosaurs. That's an awesome mix. :P
I bought this game around 1 year ago when it had a free-weekend on Steam. I had a lot of fun with it, but to be honest, it couldn't keep me interested for a long time. This game had potential, but i think that a few bad design choices killed it. The game is extremely unbalanced. The dinosaurs for the Axis team are way overpowered. It's very rare to see Allies win a match.

To win as Allies, you need a lot of teamwork and a very good team, and this is something hard to achieve by playing with random guys on the internet.

Wishbone: Small, multiplayer-only indie games die a quick death, unless they're picked up and pushed by a publisher. Fact of life.
I have to call BS on that one. I do agree that it's very hard for multiplayer-only indie games to stay alive in the long run, but it DOES happen. Your generalization is absurd. Just look at Red Orchestra, Killing Floor and Iron Grip. These well done indie titles are still going strong after so many years. Heck, RO was released 6 years ago, and i can ALWAYS find at least one full 50+ players server. Looks pretty alive to me.

Galcon Fusion is also worth mentioning. Even though it isn't multiplayer-only, this unknown indie still has a very active online community.
