Most games like Fallout 3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Fallout New Vegas and so forth I've already played on my PS3, only exception is Portal 2. Is it really that good?

I was thinking of about games that came only for the PC or are significantly better on a pc. Dead Island seems interesting, as does Just Cause 2. I'll check those out. Any point in re-buying Fallout: NV for my gaming rig? I played it on the PS3 but it kept crashing, I'm wondering if it's better on a proper computer
Try Direct2Drive I guess.

or Gamersgate.

Thats all I can think of.

Yes yes it is...
Crysis
Shogun 2 Total War
Portal 2

Also Amazon has a fairly competitive DD service, and I use Origin to buy EA games since they usually have some good sales on their facebook page: EA Insider Deals.

Shogun 2, Lost Planet 2, Two Worlds II, Super Street Fighter 4, Battlefield 3, Rock of Ages, Bastion, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Dead Space 2, Divinity II DKS, Fallout: New Vegas, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Magic: The Gathering - Duels 2012, Beat Hazard Ultra, Crysis 2, Frozen Synapse, Just Cause 2. That should do it.

Coming soon: Arkham City, Serious Sam 3, Dungeon Defenders, Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Stronghold 3, Renegade Ops.

Origin is a good place to buy EA games; everything outside of that and GOG/Steam are shit to me, though I have higher standards than many.

Gamersgate is a very good DD store.

As for games, I can recommend the Stalker games, especially Call of Pripyat.

Shogun 2 has to be about the prettiest strategy game out there. It's also damn good.

Given the other games you're playing you really want to give Risen a try. Fallout New Vegas is certainly a less conventional fantasy setting, but it's pretty bloody good and the Dead Money and Old World Blues DLC are better still (haven't played the others yet).

Crysis 2 is about the best system-pushing game out there. Especially with the DX11 patch. It's not as fun as the first one as the areas feel more confined and less sand-pit-ish. But it's still quite fun and prettyful.

Dead Island is pretty bloody good at what it does. Having mechanics that make sense doesn't appear to be among what it does. But it's fun so what the hell, right? I'm just glad they're still patching it...

Portal 2 has an impressive single player and separate co-op campaign. One of the few games I really enjoy playing co-op.

Great games I forgot that others didn't: Frozen Synapse, Amnesia, Divinity 2 DKS, Company of Heroes.

Stay away from Shogun 2 if you intend to play coop with a friend. They still haven't fixed desyncs after over 6 months, which is a game breaker for that mode.

How about DRM on origin? Do you have to have a client running in the background a la Steam?
The BF3 open beta is the only one I know that's needed Origin to run, but others have said EA's previous titles don't require Origin running. The only DRM they have is whatever EA put on retail like Securom.
