Hi guys; just need to know what gog games are nice (and worth to buy, enjoyable experience) to play sitting on your couch and using a wireless pad. I mean, I just wanna have some ''console fun'' with gog games, that's it. And using an htpc as a ''console'' is a good idea, I guess.

Well, my main concern here is that gog has so many cool crpgs where primarly the mouse is used and, ahn, there's gotta be something cool to play for hours and hours using a controller. Some multiplayer split screen fun, possibly? Old games or new ones, just explain why!

Thanks in advance, people.
Psychonauts immediately springs to mind. Also Unreal Tournament 2004 (though I'm not entirely sure it supports pads) and Beyond Good & Evil. There's also Rayman 2, Flatout, Bloodrayne 1 & 2, Oddworld Abes Oddysee & Exoddus (might want to check DOSBox supports pads though) MDK 2.

There's also plenty of games you can play with just a mouse, mostly adventure games like: The Longest Journey, Syberia 1 & 2, Still Life, Broken Sword 1 & 2 (3 is more awkward but will work ok with a pad), Beneath a Steel Sky etc.... and the Creature series and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and Call to Power 2 can pretty much be played mouse only as can Evil Genius... infact there's loads :).

They're not DOS games. =D And from what I remember they support pads via direct input. You'll want something with a good d-pad though.
What about Messiah, is it a good option?
Still no ideas, guys!
Do you people know any nice game that can be played with a wireless x360 pad?

You might run into a few problems with older games and your pad. Something to do with changing drivers. Let me copy something over from the Fahrenheit thread:

or even better, Wikipedia

The 360 controller, wired or not uses xinput. This is mostly incompatible with games that use directinput. You weren't to know, but you couldn't have picked a worse pad for old PC games. :P

My recommendations would either be get a better controller, or use xpadder to assign keyboard functions to your controller. Oh, and the previous suggestion of Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus is great. That might work with your controller because it doesn't require analogue controls, just d-pad and buttons.

The Witcher 2 should have specific support for your pad if that's your kind of thing too.
Logitech makes a controller that can use either Directinput or Xinput, you just flick a manual switch on the controller.

That's pretty cool! Although it doesn't solve the problem of games only supporting xinput nowadays. I wonder if there's anything that can map directinput controllers to xinput?

Pretty cool! Thanks for the info.
I mean, my main idea here is to simply play gog games on an htpc, big screen, wireless pads, but the overwhelming majority of gog games are mouse/kb (and the ones wich are not probably need some sorta gimmick to run with a new controller, right?)

Thanks, guys!
What about Xpadder, J2key, Xinput?
Does it work ok with gog games?

Of course I didn't have the good sense to post a link. All 3 of these have it, it's just a matter of secondary features (rumble and wireless, looks like).
