I know this topic may seem to be an old one (the apparent lack of first-person shooters here), and may seem silly compared to the lack other genres here (sports). Plus, I'd venture to say FPSs didn't become really mainstream or standard until Halo and CoD (but I suppose it's what you consider the "mainstream".) EDIT: I suppose if you consider the effect DooM had mainstream enough, then I'm way off.

Nonetheless, many of you were playing FPSs before I really started playing them around '02 or so, so in a way I'm wondering what I missed out on and what GoG should have from this catagory.

This is basically just "What do you want on GoG?" for old FPSs (GoG says 3 years+ is old, my own personal preference is stuff from before '05 or '06 or so, but that fluctuates :P; you can decide for yourself), a list to see how big the genre was back then. I suppose you could bring up ones that are easily downloadable elsewhere, but personally I'd like to see some more obscure ones, too.

(If there was a specific thread like this already, my apologies.)

If there's a lack of FPS here, it's probably due to GOG not having a deal with the license owners of id Software games, because those are the most famous of the 90's: Wolfenstein 3D series, Heretic & Hexen series (as producers), Doom series and Quake series.
I want to see
Chasm: The Rift
Vivisector Beast Inside
Shadow Warrior
AvP 1
AvP 2
Doom 1 +2
Quake 1 + 2 + 3
Wolfenstein 3d
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Red Faction 1 + 2
Soldier of Fortune 1 + 2
System Shock 1 + 2
Deus Ex 1 + 2 (yes, Invisible War as well)
Delta Force
Z.A.R

Those are some I can think of off the top of my head. Basically, I'd love to see more FPSs period, since they're my genre of choice.

EDIT: Of course. How could I forget Heretic and Hexen?

I'd quite like Slave Zero - I had it on the DC but that marks the moment I discovered that FPSes on a controller SUCK - game seemed like it would be cool if I could use keyboard and mouse though
(and first person view WAS an option before anyone says anything...)
