Alone in the Dark series.

Maybe I'm spoiled by other games, but I just didn't really find it fun or scary, more frustrating than anything else. And with horrible controls.

I'm with you here. I bought Syberia a long time ago and still have the box. Couldn't get into it. Yet I love the genre.

Thanks for the feedback, lukasz. I'm pretty confident that I'll circle back to BG at some point. The borrom line is that I love D & D type games, so it will get another chance.

Jagged Alliance 2. I spent a few hours trying really really hard to like it as I usually enjoy turn-based combat. But it's probably my least favorite gog purchase. It does have a lot of stuff to like once you get into it. But i despise the interface, it seems to take so long to do the little things. The snails pace and randomness of it always can piss me off to no end.
