Postal 2 or EVE online.

Oh wait... no don't do that.

Need For Speed 2 and 3 were the best racing games ever on the PC when I was 7. Highly recommended, also, theres a co-op race mode, so if you don't mind sharing a keyboard or plugging in a controller, you can play with him. :)

Also, get a nintendo 64 and Banjo and Donkey Kong 64 and maybe Zelda (that one may be too much).
So long as your brother can handle fast-moving action on-screen, I'd recommend any of the following:
- Any of the pinball games here on GOG since pinball games typically only require three keys: one for the plunger to release pinballs into play, and two for the left and right flippers, respectively. Sure, there are the buttons which simulate you shaking/tilting the table, but I've found you don't usually need those.

- Flatout because of its simple controls - no powerups or boost to worry about, just a good, old-fashioned arcade racing experience. Be forewarned, though - default in-game settings allow drivers to be ejected from their vehicles because of a crash, and there are some mini-games in the game which rely on said ejection mechanic for their gameplay.

I was also going to suggest something from the Lego collection. I haven't played them myself but I hear they are well received from kids and adults alike. It could be something you do together.

Another suggestion, there are a number of pet simulators out, on all different kinds of platforms. Never much to read, no complicated goals to struggle with, and playing gives you the warm fuzzies.

Goethe: I would recommend any game on this website for he to play. Although, that might not be what you would exactly wish to hear. I don't believe that there were would be any game, on this site, that he probably could not be able to handle if he understood its premise.
No, do not blindly suggest anything from the GoG catalog. Just because they are likely old does not mean they are easy to play. (For instance, I just finished Still Life, and while it was a good game, I often got frustrated at points and had to cheat by looking up puzzle answers online. There's also the main plot of the story- solving who the serial rapist/murderer is, which I find inappropriate for a developmentally disabled child.)
Well, he would probably not purchase that game for his son then.

Thanks guys for all your posts. I'm not sure I'll get him one right now as I will be out of the country for several months and therefore won't be able to play through the games with him. Nevertheless, thanks for all your suggestions and I will definitely keep them in mind for next year.

Once again, I appreciate this community and your eagerness to be helpful, kind and understanding.
