deamento: i watched the video from totalbiscuit a while ago and it seemed like a game i might play if i were in the right mood but before i buy it i need to be in that mood and have the money
Thanks for marking my answer as the solution. Also, if you like hack's slash style games, you can't go wrong with Sacred.
hey it IS the solution and will probably keep me busy for 5 months or so
and where can i get sacred? i can't find it on GOG and i guess it's probably not in a retail store

deamento: hey
i recently completed planescape :torment and now i'm curious for more great classic rpgs
i'm looking an rpg with a good story or with cool game mechanics (but still with a story which won't bore me to death)
so if anyone could help me that would be great :)
I admit to being an Ultima fanatic, but for a great series, that's what I recommend, especially VII. It is still unsurpassed for having the most interactive and, for lack of a better word, living world.

The prices are excellent as well. All the games together are about $30 now including Worlds of Ultima which, of course, do not affect the price, being free. (Of course you can always go to Amazon and get them (without Worlds) for $500).

Also I recommend Might and Magic I-VI and VII (haven't played VIII yet, and barely played IX).
I personally really enjoy Temple of Elemental Evil and the Realms of Arcana series, but those games are hardcore and come with a digital "rules lawyer" that is incredibly strict and picky about what types of characters you can make.

There are many more here, but these are a few I like.
