Hello!
I just discovered gogwiki.com and noticed, that some games don’t have all information, e.g. Moonbase Commander, where some infos about game size, installer etc. are missing. So I wanted to add those information, but there is some kind of automatic system working, which is nowhere explained (at least you expect hints on the wiki main page).
I know, there is a link to the “Standard product page layout” with some kind of example. But this does not explain, where e.g. the information about the setup.exe comes from. It is not in the wiki page source code. Some pages have them (installermd5hash=), some don’t, but it does not matter: if the MD5 hash (or other informations) will be displayed, that depends on random (at least for me). Pages like Botanicula display those informations out of nowhere. Other pages like Moonbase Commander only display “Unknown game!” or similar, even if I add installermd5hash.
So … if you want users to participate as editors, please explain the tags, how to fill them and how it works. Otherwise I don’t see why I should waste time for something that does not work. :(
(BTW: a dedicated forum for the wiki would be great. And I don’t think of those impractical MediaWiki discussion pages …)
