I used to check the related gogmixes, next to the game descriptions. For some days, I've only seen "be the first to create a gogmix with this game" at their usual place. The gogmixes themselves are still available in their intependant global lists, but having the relevant ones on the individual games pages was nice.

Temporary bug ? Already mentionned ? Or was I the only one to ever check this area of the screen ?
GOGMixes have been quite broken ever since the last major site update, the page for your own GOGMixes is also gone. And they've had an editing bug for longer than that, if you're unlucky the whole mix may empty out when you try to edit it, with no way to restore it other than re-add all games manually (this seems to have increased in frequency).
Yeah, it's kinda shame that they buried the community based feature.

I didn't used GOGMixes, I don't even see the purpose of them, but a lot of people did.

But this lack of consistency in growth / new features is quite common for CDProjekt.
It seems more and more like that GOGMixes were kind of a passing fad for GOG - they were introduced as a cool new feature, they were once even given a news spotlight, they were part of 2010's Christmas contests, and then they slipped into oblivion, to the point that now they're indeed, as you pointed out, half-gone.
I'm not sure, GOG might have plans for fixing them, but now, they're pretty much broken.

They betterdamn fix this. In other case, they will send a message they don't care about community work.
I liked how members could rate other people's GOGmixes. There could have been contests based on votes in which the winning GOGmixer could get a prize in the form of free games, and the most popular GOGmix could than be sold as a bundle at a discount. There were some pretty creative GOGmixes there...

What really hurts about the GOGmix feature being broken is that it was instrumental for non-Windows users to get a good picture of what games worked and didn't work in WINE, CrossOver, DOSBox, and virtualization environments like VirtualBox/VMWare/Parallels. For me, it was a nice little scratch pad where I could record and share notes on getting games working at their best on OS X. I couldn't tell you how upset it left me when I lost all of that...

Getting the GOGmixes to work properly, and raising their visibility would be one excellent and low-investment way for GOG to really get more sales from the Mac and Linux crowd, encouraging them to buy games that would easily work on their systems with little-to-no effort, and lowering the likelihood of people being deterred due to uncertainties in compatibility.

Hello Everyone! :)
As a new guy in a gog.com "A-Team" I'm responsible for the whole community section, so I will be the one who will make the Gogmixes work just perfectly :)

From now on I will investigate the problem with "disappearing" mixes.
I will let you know when I'm done by updating this topic.

It's certainly reassuring to get some official word on this. I sent TheEnigmaticT some screenshots displaying examples of problems I've encountered with GOGmixes (in addition to the disappearing GOGmix bug), which I can send to you as well if you like. If there's any other way we can help, we'd love to hear it!

Hello,

these gog-mixes appear as empty lists

http://www.gog.com/en/mix/great_gog_games_that_works_on_linux

http://www.gog.com/en/mix/games_with_spanish_languaje (I managed to save a cached version of this one)

Thanks for working on this issue.
