Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I searched and didn't find a post about this. Even though my descriptions were originally over the 250 character limit, I managed to get them all to under 250, but the the thing won't accept them. When I shaved them all to 249 or less, just in case it was a byte carryover error, it still wouldn't let them through.

It makes me wonder if there was a length-exceeded check for the original negative capacity values, and it never rechecked when I made sure they were all the right size. Now I have to copy all my text over to a txt file and hope I can redo it.

Anyone else have this problem? There should probably be a way to save gogmixes in private so that you can work on them later, rather than having to abandon them.

EDIT: Well, I mean telling *me* my descriptions are too long. Heh.

This question / problem has been solved by KavazovAngelimage
GOG does seem to have imposed very restrictive post length limitations now. Which is a real bloody shame.

Try clearing the cache out before trying again. It might be a bug that's mistaking your 'acceptable' description for the cached unacceptable one.
Don't use stuff like & "" % and similar, and also make sure the descriptions are around 230 letters, not 250 as it says there. I had the same problem last night.
You can still edit a GOGMix after you create it, so you don't really have to abandon it, you just have to be willing to leave it in public while you make changes to it. You could always add a "WORK IN PROGRESS" or something like that to the mix title while you are working on it, then remove that when you are done.
I see, so it might include hidden characters for special stuff. That makes sense. I'll have to check to see if I use a lot of apostrophes, but I hope this gets switched around soon to just limit to actual characters shown, at the very least.

As far as posting it and editing it later, unless it would allow a GOGmix with too many characters, I CAN'T save it.

The forums also seem to remove carriage returns when you go into edit mode :P

I entered KavazovAngel's suggestion as a solution, but it's not really. It's sort of a temporary workaround until the character limit either becomes open or is changed to be a bit more clear.
