Yep, the exact same thing happened with a reply notification on my account as well. It is weird because earlier today the forum reply notification was appropriately showing next to Forums Replies.

Thanks. It seems to work anywhere in the shopping part of the site (the numbers showed when I was checking out a purchase). Just the forum has the problem from what I can tell.

Ah yes, that explains it because earlier today I first went to the home page of the site where the notification was working fine but on the forum it is still not fixed yet.

I believe it has to do with GOG "upgrayding" only half of the website. The "upgrayded" half (e.g. home page) has full functionality (e.g. specific notifications, ability to use the search option at the top right corner), whereas the "old" half (e.g. forum) does not.

Figured it was something like that. Or maybe inconsistent application of HTTPS, but that seems less likely. You are probably correct and the forum is getting second-tier attention. Quelle surprise.

I think the general consensus can be that this update is nothing more than a buggy mess. I still cannot make any purchases at all, which is doing nothing short of pissing me off. I also have a gifted game that was redeemed relabeled as "sent". It's taking forever to get these and other issues fixed, so I am not holding my breath concerning everything being fixed by the weekend...

It's not only the forum, it's any unchanged region, e.g. the account page, the wishlist. But indeed, quelle surprise.

You got the first part right, but it's not just the forum, try checking your notifications anywhere in your account.

Yah, so I see. As mrkgnao pointed out, it seems to be that whole side of the site which is lacking the feature.
