We're preparing to launch pre-orders on the new, original, and exciting title: Divinity: Dragon Commander from Larian Studios, the creators of Divinity RPG series. It's a real-time strategy game with quite a unique concept, so we thought it would be nice to have a little Q&A with the developer team to shed some more light on their one-of-a-kind idea. After all, you don't see dragons on jetpacks commanding armies of soldiers, beasts, and flying machines into battle in every other game, now do you?

The video chat will start tomorrow, one hour before the planned pre-orders launch--that's Wednesday, April 10, at 2:00PM GMT (16:00 Warsaw time), and there's a bunch of ways you can see us talking to Larian and participate. We know that we said we'd be hosting it on our G+ page, but due for a better stream we've moved it over to Larian's page at Or you can simply watch it right here on this page--we will embed it below for you. If you miss the show, don't worry--a recording should be available as soon as it ends. Don't miss it, though, because we have a special gift for everyone who watches the show.

If you have any questions for Larian you can submit them in here, in our forums or tweet them at us with the <a href="">#DragonCommander hashtag. We'll select the most interesting questions and throw it at the devs in our live chat, so they won't be able to dodge them. As usual, we'll award the authors of the best questions with some free game bonus codes.

EDIT: Thank you for attending our live Q&A session! In case you missed it, or simply would like to see it again, here's a recording on YouTube:
I got a couple questions asked! Fingers crossed that that's enough for free games....
Thanks GOG and Larian. That looked pretty interesting.
That was a pretty entertaining and informative Q&A, thank you, GOG&Larian.
Dragon Commander wasn't on my radar at all, but the presentation left me quite impressed.
Missed a good part of the video looking at the static screen with a little box in the upper corner with browser errors, wasn't sure what was going on there, then trying to get the volume up to where I could hear it. All I got out of it was RTS this and RTS that and dragons. The dragon part sounds good. The RTS does not sound so good. I'll be sitting on the fence with a good deal of disinterest. I am not a RTS fan.
Oh crap, I missed it. I didn't realize it was going to be happening this quickly.

Well, next time then.
QC: Oh crap, I missed it.
You can watch it here.
This sounds like a really dumb idea and yet the screenshots make it look really fun! I'm highly on the fence about this, but still rather excited to see where it goes. :)
Aaaand.... pre-ordered! :)
Question: Does someone at Larian have a Skeleton fetish? The evidence seems abundant, between the lipstick skeleton adviser in the upcoming Dragon Commander and Velanir from the DKS and the female skeleton in Divine Divinity who is infatuated with the player. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
darkangelz: As some rpgs offer romance paths, it would be awkard to try to romance yourself in single player mode.
Licurg: No it wouldn't :)
I agree.
While I prefer the classic top down or isometric base building RTSes, I guess this game seems interesting enough. Hope the camera controls are decent though, that's usually an issue with 3D RTS games, but I'll probably pick this up.
Interesting to hear them point to cinemaware games as inspiration. Why aren't any of those on gog?
