We're giving away 100 games a day to our users to celebrate our 5th birthday!
For the last 5 years we've been doing our best to bring the best games in history to your home computers. Now, we're celebrating our birthday, and we want you--our users--to have a blast! That's why for the next five days we'll be giving away 100 games a day via our different channels (the forums, social media, YouTube). The details of each giveaway will be revealed on day to day basis, so make sure to drop by daily and see what are we up to.
Today, we've planned something special for our long-time users, and it's all going to go down right here, right now--in the forums. We'd like to honor the people who have been with us the longest. If you think you're one of these people, post a comment in the forum thread below. Include the number of days you're on GOG.com (just upload a screenshot of the "Days on GOG.com" of your Account Info Page--please include that number in your post as well, to make our job a little easier, thanks!) and give us a one-sentence statement on what was it exactly that made you register with GOG.com. The first 100 users with the most time since registering will be sent a $9.99 gift-code.
You have time until tomorrow, that's Tuesday, October 1, at 2:59PM GMT to enter the giveaway, as at that time we'll be moving to another communications channel with a new set of rules. So, GOG.com old-timers, show off how long have you been with us!
Joined for classic old school games, DRM free, for a sensible price.

Wows seems low.

I got on because I could get a load of my old favourite games with no mess and I was hooked all over again. Gave me chance play some games I didn't get to back in the day. Also to support DRM free games.

1845 days. I think that's a day 1 signup. Signed up because GOG was like a legal "abandonware" site back at the time and I don't mind paying for brilliance.

1843 days and counting!!!

I came to GOG.com because I think I heard about it from PC Gamer and applied for the BETA once I saw Giants Citizen Kabuto was downloadable; that game was extremely difficult to make work on Windows 7!

As for why I registered with GOG... Good Old Games and now newer ones, (the distinct lack of DRM persuaded me to get The Witcher 2 direct from GOG), plenty of titles and offers to choose from, I buy what I can when Budget allows and the Game Shelf on GOG lets me own games without having to install them all.

I got here by getting the access key before the official lauch.
I stayed ever since.
My number is as for today: 1798

I joined GOG because I have a strange love for old DOS games, and a way to buy them legally and with dosbox already configured is great.

My reasons to register on GOG.com:

First of all I just downloaded here my DRM-FREE digital version of The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition with all the cool digital extras, such as the digital artbook.
I also joined to GoG to re-buy all of the GoodOldGames with all the lovley digital extras, when have really good special offers! :D

Nice to see, these versions ate update for all my favorite games, so I can play these games on the latest OS as well, such as Windows7 & Win8.

PS: You are the best GOG, keep up the good workk!^

I've only been a member for 760 days (more than 40% of the past 5 years) and although I do not qualify for the free game, I'm still pretty glad GOG exists and I will continue to be buying/downloading in the next five years!
My GOG seniority is:

1845 days and counting.

I came here because I heard through the PCGamer podcast that this new DRM free site would be selling some the best games ever designed. They weren't wrong. After signing up in early Aug. I waited for the site to go live so I could grab Fallout. It was worth the wait.

Thanks for 5 years of great memories GOG!!
