SLP2000: I think it would be a great achievment if releasing DRM-free copy of two year old game would become a standard.

I hate DRM, but I can live with it, if I can buy DRM-free copy after two years.
Exactly my point of view. I don't care for day one releases anyway, because I don't want to play a game as long as it is technically and contentwise incomplete.

My last day one purchase was Far Cry in 2004. Since then, the three games I bought closest to their original release date were The Witcher 2, Alan Wake and American Nightmare. All on GOG, of course. Actually, besides my retail copy of Rayman Origins (which is DRM-free), these are the only non-indie PC games released since 2010 I own.

Meanwhile I have accepted that my hobby is going down the drain. I try to enjoy the remaining time as good as I can and see every single addition to the GOG catalogue as an unexpected blessing.

tfishell: However, correct if I'm wrong, but didn't GOG release 2 good-ish old games a week right from the start?
One a week used to be standard. Occasionally a second.
Then more recently, it was two as standard, with one occasionally (especially when EA joined up).

Spoilt little brats whinging more, these days, though :P
