hudfreegamer: GOG would have to create their own API always on client and modify each and every game to support it, which would be massively expensive and time consuming.
A running client like the announced GOG Galaxy could do this, like Steam does. Unlike Steam, Galaxy will be optional.

moonshineshadow: As long as the cloud saving is optional it would be a nice feature to add.
If this is added, it will be added to GOG Galaxy, I presume, and it has been confirmed that Galaxy will be optional.

Titanium: Really? It should be just a few lines of code when you run an executable through a client.
It's a pretty simple matter for modern games, almost all of which dump saves in a common location such as my documents or user appdata in Windows. Not so simple when you're dealing with classic windows games or games running in dosbox in varied install locations. Granted Galaxy would have it much easier since it would know where every game is installed. It's not rocket sciene but there's some work involved there and a lot of testing. Messing up someones saves due to a bug can be pretty unforgivable for a customer. How many of you would uninstall Galaxy in a flash if the cloud save system wiped saves due to a bug? I know I would.

umma86: Hi all,

I just thought that it would be nice if GoG supported some king of cloud for games just like it is on Steam.
After leaving a game, the save would be automatically updated.

Would you like to have this feature? I would!

Greetings!
They have a client coming (GOG Galaxy), I'd be surprised if it doesn't come with cloud saving. In fact I wouldn't just be surprised, I'd be a little pissed!

Tallima: Didn't I read somewhere that GOG Galaxy would support cloud saves in the future? I know I'm delusional, but I can't remember if that was a delusion or not.

madth3: If you check the official thread for GOG Galaxy you'll see that this is not confirmed. People has especulated that GOG will add this feature, later if not at launch.
Thanks!
