Keep things as they are but acquire more new games like kings bounty drm free.
Like it or not steam is the competition and new games become old games.
Publishers release new games on steam with drm why release drm free with gog a few years later..
We need new games and new games need to sell to convince publishers.
The community sets the example and here it is a mature one.
In a perfect world linux support
Mac OS X support, please!
Add " new game updates and extras " tab to the profile page.
I'll add to the chorus requesting pdf manuals. Sometimes you can find these on the web, but it would be really handy to have some quick guide to the controls.
Other thing I'd like would be a copy of the UHS - Universal Hint System, which is invaluable for all adventure games, and some RPGs. Something that gives you an answer to just the problem you're stuck with and not to all the other things at the same time.

Northumbrian: I'll add to the chorus requesting pdf manuals.

All GOG releases include a zipped PDF manual in the download extras of each game you have purchased.
I'd also love to see Mac OS X support for as many titles as is reasonable. Since the download manager and installer are Flash based (Air) and a number of the old games use DOSBOX, it couldn't be that tough to add preliminary support so long as your game rights permit you to offer the product on multiple platforms, of course.
As with Steam, it would be great to buy once and have access to the games on all supported platforms.
I bought and still have Gabriel Knight II and Phantasmagoria for the Mac and I'd love to play those games again without having to use Bootcamp as I do now...
Nothing I've said here is new (it has been requested before, but I figure the more people who ask for it, the better. :)
Dunno if this forum is still soliciting input. I don't know what all the requests for "mac support" are. I run bootcamp and WinXP and they install just fine. Get MacDrive and you can download them to the mac partition and just bring them into your bootcamp partition with no issue. I've found the Mac downloads faster than Win, gosh, imagine that. having a dual boot system is not an issue for me and for older graphics, VMFusion works just fine. Newer GOG's dual boot is the only way to go.
More community features!
Seriously, PM-ing should have been here from the start. I mean, these are forums, right?
And also a profile page, so if people want to see other peoples games they can just look at their profile page. (But make displaying games optional)
hummm ....

more than anything else: GOG needs better online support.

not a better web page / help desk support. but the likes of dedicated servers for games with online multiplayer.

maybe I should say better extended support because it would also be beneficial to actually have hosted mods instaid of every game having a thread dedicated to sites with mods.
Overall gog does things well. I do think though that multiplayer games that require unique keys should be distributed with the keys on purchase. Or at the very least have a system where your key's are attached to your account when they are requested so you can just log on to get it if you have to reinstall the game and had lost your key in the mean time.
PM features

A functional and WORKING wishlist that isnt a mess

More games and better deals than competitors

all of these things are a must for GoG

as I have said in another thread, steam already has KOTOR, Thief and Deus Ex and yet GoG doesnt? seriously?

Roman5: as I have said in another thread, steam already has KOTOR, Thief and Deus Ex and yet GoG doesnt? seriously?
KOTOR is Lucasarts, which is enough of an answer. I can imagine Squeenix hopping on GOG, though, but it would take a lot of convincing. (And by the way, Deadly Shadows isn't a proper Thief game. Good, but not great.)

And since this thread is already resurrected, I have to admit I'm fascinated that the easily most requested features, PMs and user profiles, are still nowhere in sight. I would take that over GOGmixes any day, and I'm quite sure I'm not the only one.
