Hey there,

I wanted to ask the staff if there are any plans to release the GoG titles that run on Dosbox officially for Mac? It should not be too much work to build an official version since Dosbox is multi-platform anyway. It's a little but annoying to extract, repack and run the games on Mac for your own use and I think this would actually attract a lot of Mac users that love the old games just as much as the Windows folks do...Please consider it!

Best,
Philipp
Or, you can just extract the contents of the installers.

Don't forget, some people come to GOG because they find DOSBox scary. I would also bet that a higher proportion of Mac users find DOSBox scary than PC users do.

But... the number of Mac users is so small that's it's probably not worth GOG's time.

I can see a MAC user making one before the GOG staff got round to it

The same goes for PC and Linux users, though. If for some reason the installer doesn't work, or you don't like it, just extract the contents out of it. Its not like it is needed anyway.

Wishbone: ...
Wow! It speaks highly of GOG that every single Mac gamer came to GOG to make a thread about Mac support.

I never knew there were so many. I guess the iPad thingy has made people wonder what other (non-Flash-based) games they can play on other Apple shinies.

Take the survey and choose Mac support as the feature you would be most interested in. That is what I voted for.
Us Mac users are here.
I use Wine to isntall the packages, then Boxer to play, it's awesome!

This makes Dos games cooler to play on a mac that it does on a PC :)
