Hi !

I would like to buy some games on Linux but I see only Mint / Ubuntu are supported.

With Steam I can still play games on OpenSUSE. So just a question : if I buy Linux games on GOG, any chance to play it on OpenSUSE ?

Thanks
From what I can remember GoG is providing a tarball as well as DEB packages aimed at Mint and Ubuntu, so provided you managed to install any required libraries I don't see why you couldn't grab the tarballs.

Ok. I hope an OpenSUSE repository will be created
That currently doesn't seem likely. At the moment, they don't plan to support other distributions. But you can download the tarballs or installers that should work on other distros. Although there might be some conflicts between the installed libraries and those bundled with the game, the experiences differ. And the problems seem to be easily solvable.
Oh, I should mention they don't offer the support for those. If something doesn't work you will probably get "Sorry. Your distribution is not supported.". So be cautious before buying and read the forum comments.

Unlike Steam, all the support on GOG is delegated to their own staff, not the game developers. So they decided to limit it to Ubuntu/Mint hopeing that will be easier to manage. I'm not sure about that. But it's not like they have a full Linux team (as I know), so it's kind of understandable. :)
Just as a side note - if you want a tidy installer that you can manage from YaST, you can always use Alien to convert the DEB package to RPM format. But, as others have said, it's not supported.

Hi,
welcome to the forum.

I prefer OpenSUSE too, but it's impossible for GoG to officially support all distributions.

The same applies to other stores too. I own some linux installers from Humble Bundle and most games run perfectly on OpenSUSE, but unfortunately not all of them. On the other hand all games run on Ubuntu.

So there are two options. The first one is to keep a second linux OS installation (Ubuntu or Mint). The second option is to write about the games you're interested in the forum and have feedback from other users.

If you're interested in specific games let us know. I'll tell you about the games which I already own and I'm sure someone else will inform you about the others.

int main(void){}

you're missing a return statement there.

That's absolutely true, but GoG's super compiler doesn't complain. :-)
Hammerwatch runs on my system based on openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64).
I just extracted the tarball file and run start.sh.

If there are dependencies they can be resolved by the user.
I already run some games (from Humble Bundle) on this system and dependency packages (if any) were already installed.
