Extremely well written, actually.

The Book of Unwritten Tales, a point-and-click adventure that spoofs all of the popular fantasy worlds, is available 50% off on GOG.com. That's only $9.99 for the next 24 hours!

Fantasy and comedy go together in perfect harmony. Side by side with their swords and puns, oh Lord, they mix nicely. We all know--fantasy tropes are the same, wherever you go. There's fun to be had, for everyone. Eh, enough with the song. The point remains: the fantasy and comedy are two things that were meant to be together like bacon and eggs, like peanut butter and jelly, like Belle and Edward. Urgh. Maybe this is not a good day for metaphors. Fantasy is fun. Nuff said.

The Book of Unwritten Tales references almost all imaginable popular fantasy worlds, that you visited in your books, movies, and games. It's an intelligent parody made with a visibly tremendous amount of love for the genre. Possibly a little bit over-the-top, from time to time, but still very light-hearted. The jokes that the game delivers are spot-on, and you'll have excellent time recognizing the twisted image of your favorite moments and places. All this comes in the form of a classic point-and-click adventure with impressive and detailed visuals, quirky characters, and professional voice acting. Whether you're a Terry Pratchett reader, a World of Warcraft player (by the way--happy birthday, WoW!), or a fan of Peter Jackson's vision of Lord of The Rings, you'll have a blast playing this one.

They say that laughter extends your lifespan. With The Book of Unwritten Tales you can extend yours by a couple of years easily*, for only $9.99!

* Tested on goblins. Outcome may vary in human subjects.
I wonder how many people will choose this one instead of 5 games for $10. They should choose something less pricey to discount this time, imho.

Some of us chose it not "instead" but "as well" ;) But with a limited founds I would be the first one to pick 5 for 10$. On the other hand somebody may already have everything he/she wants from 5 for 10$ deal and then this promo is quite tempting...
I want to kick myself.
I saw this yesterday and didn't notice the 24h limit
/doh!!!

(I just searched the forum for this because I no longer knew if it was real or if I had dreamed about the 50% off)

This deal was far better than the 5 for 10$.
I already have all the indie games of interest in that pack.

*sigh*
