Lol love it. Irn Bru and McDonalds for my fav hangover cure.
Got to wonder how many people would be unable to read it.
Btw there are really some old games with some kind of regional check, as example Commandos. I guess in this case it's more a german censorship problem and not relevant for an scottish computer.

hedwards: The Brits don't speak a language that's that foreign to American developers.

Damuna: That's right, we speak perfectly passable American.
Generally that's true. From time to time I'll hear somebody who's got an accent that I just can't decipher. We do have some regional dialects here where referring to them as English is being incredibly generous.

for the people who where trying to label my question as stupid, please note the territory - restricted to america and Canada only.

Yeah, but that's a regional sales restriction...it has nothing to do with games being coded regionally. The game that you buy in the UK is the same as the game that you buy in the US.
true, but my original post was asking about compatibility and a regional sales restriction still qualifies it as "incompatible".
GOG games are even compatible with alien PC´s

Wishbone: Uhm, in what way is a PC from the UK different from PCs in the rest of the world, exactly?

Incidentally, the answer to your question should be "yes", but the question itself seems so odd that I'm not sure I've understood it correctly.

johnny20200: Well i have bought a few pc games in the past with things like "not compatible with n.american PC's" so i figured there must be some kind of difference

dvds have regions (1,2,3 etc) and console games have different versions as well (PAL NTSC) and i was wondering if there is something similar with PC games.

Hope this clears it up and if the answer is still yes then thankyou for the good news.
GOG doesn't use DVDs, the not compatible warning you are reading is surely related to region locking on the DVDs themselves (which is a way to change prices internationally while screwing consumers out of being able to purchase internationally). Of course, I'm not sure any of the GOG games are translated into that strange language you speak over there:)
