Is there a way to alphabetize the search for a game company on the search page (http://www.gog.com/games)? If I click on the Company drop-down at the top, the order seems random and there are 60 pages of listings.

Not without scripting (and I'm too lazy to experiment and build a userscript for that at the moment), but you can search for publisher or developer. For example.

But I think it's a weird bug on GOG's part since it doesn't default to alphabetical order. Do you think the GOG devs could fix it?

It's not a bug, it's by design - the devs/ pubs list was never ever in alphabetical order although that would make the most sense. It might be in the order they signed them (no idea if that's actually the case, it looks pretty random to me).

The only way for GOG to fix it, is for people requesting it - I've already pointed it out in the "We're listening to your feedback" thread.

Well I'm glad you mentioned it to them on the feedback page. It just would be nice if they could fix it, rather than having to search through "60 pages" of random companies. :P

Funny, that's exactly what I said. Just remember that it's they're listening, not necessarily also acting on our feedback. ;-)

Is that like Dr. Frasier Crane's, "I'm listening?"

Sad, but true! :-(

I don't think the order is random. I believe It's listed in descending order of the number of games that developer has on GOG (or, more probably, had at some point on GOG, before some of its games have been removed). Not that it helps us none.

Anyhow, meanwhile, until GOG does something about it, here are two links which you might find useful (or not):

1) All the GOG games sorted by alphabetical order of developer name

Ah, good ol' MaGog! I do like using that engine! I wish it could be the official engine of the GOG website.
