Started to download The Witcher 2 with the downloader couple of days ago, i Noticed it had stopped downloading and download rate shows 0.0 kb/s. i restarted the downloader and it started up on full speed again. and after a while, about half an hour it stopped again. Tried this a couple of times, but always stops,
Any idea why?
Im on Windows 7 ultimate 64bit.
I'm in the same boat you are. I just started using the GOG downloader today to download the Witcher and it was a nightmare. The downloader would randomly stop downloading and I would have to continually close it and open it back up.
You guys download the new version of the downloader?
I downloaded it this morning from https://secure.gog.com/downloader. So unless they've changed it in the last 8 hours, yes.
Things to possible check
1) Increase the number of concurrent downloads. If for some reason you've hit a "bad mirror", having more segments downloading at once may help.
2) Try with another game. If other games download normally, it might be something faulty with The Witcher.
3) Check if your antivirus is messing with the downloader. I won't tell you to disable it, but at least one antivirus likes to run GOG.com downloader in sandbox/protected mode, which results in crawling speeds. So if your antivirus has a "trusted programs" settings, add the downloader there.
4) If all else fails, upload your log somewhere and post in the sticky to let Fallen_Zen take a look at it.

Thanks for the quick reply!
1: Its at 10 (max) i did a test on 1 just for kicks but same result.
2: Tried Fallout and Fallout tactics with same result on both, so i assume it happends on other games.
3: Just added GOG.com-downloader.exe to Microsoft Security Essentials to the exclusion list and restarted downloader. same results.
4: Log is here: http://www.datafilehost.com/download-1b4dce5c.html and its HUGE 10mb. just in case someone wants to take a look. Ill post in the sticky too.
I had the Same problem with Resonance on Wednesday
Inner exception:
Message: Operasjonen ble tidsavbrutt

Anyone with similar problems is encouraged to contact me directly via PM, I can send them a test build which should resolve this problem.

Also there is a main topic regarding the Downloader, please post all bug reports and questions there: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/introducing_the_beta_release_of_the_new_gogcom_downloader

Thanks!
