I am trying to use the new GOG downloader (not the beta version) and after installation, it prompted me to log in. However, when I put in the email/password, nothing happens. I click the button, nothing. I hit enter. Nothing. It won't even let me close out unless I go through task manager.

any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm. My downloader keeps coming up "error, retrying..." in the corner. I'll just take that as some local issue for now.

Are you adding downloads from your games page? Without downloads added, it just sits there. What you describe sounds normal, honestly.

Can you go into the settings? It should be clickable.

No, it does not let me go into settings. It's "stuck" on the login popup.
Samething happening to me. I log in,and nothing happens.
I'm going to guess that something's down on their end. I was able to log-in a couple days ago to download the games I bought last weekend and it worked just fine.

Edit: Should note that I can't log-in to the Downloader right now either.

Same here. The Gog Downloader is requiring a id/password. Never did that before, and when I type in my GOG id/password into the downloader it won't accept it.
Mine crashes .NET Framework and then just goes on with "error, retrying...".
I think I need to be clearer as to what's happening for me. The downloader requires that I log in, but when I click on the "log in" button, it acts as if I never clicked it. So, I'm stuck at the log in pop up screen. Nothing freezes or anything like that. I just click the button and it doesn't register, so the window never goes away.
Just downloaded the new 3.052 version. Hangs on the Id and password.

This is kind of silly to ask for my id and password a second time, considering I already logged into my account.
Come on Gog fix this. I rather buy my games from GoG than Steam.

I can't login either, guys. I even logged out, then logged back in here on the main site just to make sure I hadn't mixed up my password. Something's screwy.
Weird.

Until now i have been using the old v0.9.0.1376 of the downloader, and it have been working without problems. I then decided to give the latest version a try, and after installation and restart, the program promted me for the usual mail address and password - but it failed to log in.

After numerous retries i uninstalled the program, rebooted, and started the old downloader again, which prompted me for the login information - despite it had stored that information and logged in automatically everytime i have started the program until the installation of the new downloader. I keyed in the mail and code, but now the old program refused to log in aswell.

I suspect that the new downloader somehow have messed up the os, since the wlan signal is low now contrary to before the installation, where the indicator showed excellent signal strength - and now the machine suddenly takes longer to start up aswell.

I think it is time to wipe and reinstall to get it to run properly again.

Edit:

After my beauty-sleep i am now able to log in with the old downloader again, but the list over already downloaded games is gone.
