The biggest announcement in GOG.com's history is a fact! Electronic Arts grants access to its deep back catalogue of classic franchises via yours truly GOG.com!

In a ground-breaking, earthshaking, and jaw-dropping deal we've managed to sign with EA and will be releasing more than 25 legendary classics from the globally renowned publisher. With today’s announcement three widely known and much awaited brands get the revival treatment from GOG.com: Wing Commander: Privateer, Dungeon Keeper and Ultima Underworld 1+2.

We will be adding more than 25 titles from EA over the next few months, so the games will be unveiled gradually, but we can already reveal that the next upcoming titles from this huge deal are: Crusader: No remorse, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and Magic Carpet.

While the agreement between Electronic Arts and GOG.com brings back many acclaimed and well known franchises, it doesn’t include the much anticipated System Shock or Syndicate series at this time. After releasing the first six Electronic Arts classics, we will take a break from the concentrated awesome until later in the summer.

Thiev: who said 'the next months' need to be in this year? >.>
They also said summer holidays = break from EA games.
That's true, they didn't say this year, but calling January 2012 or later "the next months" at the beginning of June 2011 is really stretching the definition I think.
Is Wing Commander III and IV going to be here on GOG too? great "movie" games!
I have them in boks version, but it is a lot of work to get them to work on Win 7. And then I have to reinstall me PC ones in a vile and them again install it. I would very much like a easy install and is is a timeless game.
It is and only the battles that are a little old :-)

I'd prefer Wing Commander Prophecy Gold (ie. WC5). I'd buy it instantly even though I should have the CDs somewhere, not sure of I had the Gold version. Frankly, I didn't like the gameplay in WC3-4 (I blabbed about it somewhere else why WC3-4 gameplay (especially 4) sucks compared to Star Wars and Tie Fighter gameplay), but with Prophecy they seemed to concentrate in gameplay again.

Dune 2
Theme Hospital
The First Decade (C&C)

That would make my year.
I'm glad they started with Wing Commander and Ultima, but we need more of both. We need the Ultima collection. We especially need Ultima VII. Ultima VII was so detailed and good that, and I'm not joking here, I had actual dreams about the game world. You can fight, of course, but you could also pick pumpkins, bake bread, work for farmers, and people in the world all had their own personal schedules. It wasn't like most games in which shops are open 24 hours a day and shopkeepers wait for customers 24/7 without leaving their counters. Shopkeepers went home and went to sleep, people went in to inns at 6:00 for dinner and even yelled at the waitress. It was a living breathing world, and sometimes playing the game felt more like a vacation. This game got me though college. Bring it back!
Thanks.
I hope they allow you guys to sell [all] the Wing Commander titles including my personal favorite Privateer 2. I noticed have Privateer but not 2 yet. Also on a side note it would be very good if you could sell Star Trek: Birth of the Federation maybe since I believe count as classic and very ggod game. But thats a Microprose title not EA I think (Not 100% sure been while since played it).
