Oh no! we are getting atari/hasbro titles that are RPG's and people are complaining! oh the tragedy!

people like the OP are worse than some Blizzard fans, you don't add stuff - they whine and complain

you add stuff - they whine and complain

they whine and complain about EVERYTHING! I swear, you should be THANKING the staff for bringing these amazing RPG's here NOT making idiotic threads like these

What's next? what if ID software joins GoG and puts it's titles here, will people like you complain that all GoG has is FPS?

Please, give me a break with this

Barefoot_Monkey: No, I don't believe I am. There exists a pattern in the games that are being released because there exists a pattern in the games that are available for release. There is no problem; it's just a fact of life.
No, not really. Don't mistake my post for whining. I am personally disappointed with GOG's release schedule of late, but that is not my point.

My point is that GOG risks alienating customers by, for a very long time (well over a month, and there's still two weeks of Hasbro-RPGs left) releasing games that only appeal to a certain type of gamer.

For action fans, this means that GOG, for weeks and weeks, release only stuff they have no interest in. So they might very well lose interest in the site. That's a problem for GOG.

GOG could easily fix this by releasing an action game or two in addition to these RPGs.

Barefoot_Monkey: You seem to be under the impression that they are choosing to release RPGs INSTEAD of other games. That is not the case. They are simply releasing what is in their backlog. That's all there is to it.
And you know this how? Actually, you don't. You are just guessing.

I think, though, that we can be fairly sure that GOG has some kind of strategy behind their release schedule. And we can also be fairly sure that they have more games lined up for release than the Hasbro-RPGs. They have deals with numerous publishers, and we know some of these have confirmed plans to release more games on GOG (Anuman, for instance).
