GOG.com and CD Projekt RED start summer early as we're having a joint conference on June 2nd! We're going to reveal some big news just before E3 live from Los Angeles. The announcements will be made on June 2 at 12:00 LA time (which is 3:00 p.m. EDT or 7:00 p.m. GMT) via Ustream live stream at [url=http://www.ustream.tv/channel/cdp-summer-days]this link.

We already teased you about a new deal with one of five big publishers still not signed with us: Microsoft, Lucas Arts, Electronic Arts, Square Enix or Take2. Well, on June 2nd everything will become clear, as during the live stream we will reveal the name of the publisher and the first games out of the batch of 25+ titles that will be released throughout summer 2011 at GOG.com.

CD Projekt RED will also be making a big announcement about their next upcoming title, and will also have some other exciting things to share during their livecast. CDP RED will discuss some of the successes of the recent launch of The Witcher 2, and will also map out a plan for continued support for the new title.

So see you on Thursday, for the announcement of the Summer!

Senteria: I haven't done any research but to my knowledge EA has a lot of titles they can bring out. Don't know if they would. Square Enix has a lot of console games brought out but I don't think there are many pc games ou there. Lucasarts doesn't have many titles. Microsoft will probably be too cocky about it and don't want to sign. Take2 might do the trick but then again I don't know of any title done by them though I know I've come across some in the past.

duketogog13: Square Enix owns Eidos and all that they bought up over the years.
Ohh I didn't know. Whenever I think of Eidos I think of some Gecko game. xD
Must format before vid goes live D:!

You can always resort to a live cd of Linux Mint or something if you can't finish reinstalling Windows in time for some reason. Formatting and reinstalling drivers and essential programs really doesn't take that long, though...

TaliaKirana: They've already grayed out the Square Enix logo.
Wait, what? Where?
So...like...Gog/CDP-R have booked enough connections for the stream this time? As I recall, 40,000 wasn't enough for the last one :P
I know it probably won't happen but I would be really happy for Microsoft. Fable, or age of Mythology would be awesome to see, I think that Lucas Arts is probably going to be the one but still awesome.
It's almost here.

So I'm thinking I'll buy a game today if one of the following is announced

If EA: System Shock 2
If LucasArts: X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (though X-Wing or Tie Fighter would be nice too)
Squeenix: Tomb Raider (any really)
Microsoft: Age Of Empires 2, Midtown Madness 2

I'm sure there's others I'd seriously consider but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.

Alright people, I just got back home from work and it's less than 3 hours to go

I'm so pumped
Actually, when I was joining the site, one of my first thoughts was: 7 Cities of Gold.
Just who knows, if Good Old Games ain't just becoming an ultimate site for another wacko :)
Well, it's either Lucasarts or EA. I'm guessing Lucasarts myself. It's a pity that they've already released a lot of their old adventure stuff on a certain other digital distribution platform. There's still some good stuff that steam doesn't have yet though. Tie Fighter, Day of the Tentacle, and whichever was the 3rd Monkey Island game with the animated cutscenes.

If it's EA, and they announce that you can download System Shock 2 NOW (Sega Saturn style) for the small price of $9.99 and it also runs on XP, Vista, and 7 without any tinkering from you, I will congratulate them on a job well done. But I doubt that will happen.
*laughs on the social stream comments *

So, does that mean that those five aren't signed, yet, but are
nearing the signed state?

Microsoft has some classics....like the Myth series. Oh, and if they
dig deep, they have a lot of classical games, like Rattler Race.
Okay, Rattler Race can easily be found, for free, on Microsoft's own
download page. I was getting at those olde "Windows Entertainment
Packs", which includes games like Rattler Race.

Lucasarts....what don't they have? They're sitting on a treasure trove
of classical games.
