PLEASE GOG! Can we PLEASE get a text based look for GOG similar to the one which was previewed in the release of Zork teaser page? I mean something on a pure black background, using a white dos or typewriter style font, building the look/frames of the site with pipes, dashes, slashes, etc... I would so love to have this as a look for my GOG and it just would be SO appropriate. Having pictures and stuff is still fine and all for screenshots and whatnot but just have the 'Frames' and standard buttons and stuff in an oldschool text based format. I just LOVE how the left side of that top menu bar looks.

As a side comment from a first time user of these forums, I'd also like to see a preview post option for when one writes posts on the forums... Just saying. I guess one could just post and then edit as need be but still, I think it would be better to be able to just preview before posting to the public.

*Note this post may be edited if need be shortly after being posted*
Gog.com is still in beta, I'm sure they will add forum features when they reach "gold" status.

Oh, wait...
A preview post option would be nice. As would an auto-lock on threads that haven't received any replies in six months.

But I don't think you're going to get your ASCII GOG wish, sorry.
Can't you make a CSS setup that overrides remote CSS with the local one? If so (and it wasn't just something in a dream), you should be able to get a close approximation of the oldschool text adventure look

But then how would people necro threads that have been dead for 2 or more years?

Oh it would be a tragic crying shame when they had to make a new thread all by themselves, I'm sure. :P

You could load a Greasemonkey script, I guess...
Or use the Stylish extension (if you use Firefox).
