As long as there are no MP achievements or extremely random ones where you need luck over skill, I'm all for it!

GOG Forum achievements eh?
Well, add one for participating in "GOG Weekly Blood Bowl League" :)
Also anyone playing a season with halfling team needs to have "Guts" achievement.
I am actually too old to care about achievements, unless you get some definite ingame bonus from them. And even in those cases, i should probably try to ignore them and actually concentrate on finishing the game first and foremost..

Gog bears in the middle of the afternoon could be seen as an achievement too.

Personally, since I started using Steam those achievements were "doing" me pretty much. I both love them and hate them. So I don't know, we'll have to wait and see what will Galaxy bring.

I don't care about achievements, but there are some people who do. As long as we have the freedom of choice between downloading/installing directly or through a client and playing the same way, I don't think it's an issue. And the multiplayer/achievments API might help to convince some Steam-only publishers/developers to reconsider. I'd love to see the likes of 2K or Bethesda here.
