LittleLizard: A GOC that could be in my price range (turned 18 this month, just need a job) will be this.

Well, not exactly a GTI, but an XSi can be easily get in here

Stuff: I like it . . . =)

I much prefer low cost these days along with four doors (swore I would drive nothing but two door coupes when I was your age) If it is dependable and affordable it's a good car. I can't imagine how much money I wasted on performance cars and performance accessories . . . if I could just figure a way to get that money back . . . =)
Where did i mention i wanted my XSi in 3 door trim? :P
If i could get my hands on one of those i would modifiy extensively but not in the performance sector but in the safety one. Probably replace the steering wheel with one of a 206 with airbag (in theory it's possible, just need to figure how to make actually WORK the airbag). Bigger brakes up front, one of those reinforcement bars that goes under the bonnet (don't know how to say it in english). And then i'll my face would be like this!.

Hehe . . . put your money and time into your education, in a few years you can buy any car you want . . . ok, most any car you want. Few your age can resist the lure of wine, women and song but . . . you'll have plenty of time for all that when you get your education behind you.

Hope so :)

NOW LETS GET BACK ON TOPIC

Sierra Cosworth RS500 - Only 500 ever made, heavily turbocharged, in black. Domine the touring car scenario for a LOT of time.

@Stuff

Yeah I plan to be a pilot! And I recognize that plane...I think I saw it in a Sport Aviation magazine once (I'm an avid reader ;) Although I can't think of what it is off the top of my head :)

I'm actually planning on (re)building an Alon Aircoupe, but I'm gonna put retractable gear on it (It's been done once or twice before on an ERcoupe), a Corvair conversion engine, remove the rudder pedals (like the originals were) and re-cover the wings with fabric (also like an ERcoupe). Then I'm gonna register it as Experimental (I'll have to with the auto conversion engine).

So yeah...I love planes as well! lol :)

Bonnet is the term used in England, in the US it is called the hood. I prefer bonnet though. I also prefer boot over trunk. Actually... I almost always prefer the British term for car parts and types to the US version.

LOL. I learnt most of my english about cars thanks to Top Gear, which is british. Now you know WHY i like it.

ANOTHER GOC: BMW M1
Citroen 2CV. There are many many different versions of it, and the fan club is huge.

Here is a concept car. I love it and I'm sure that Stuff will appreciate its steampunk design.

Great car indeed. Cheap as hell. I loved how the implemented the windscreen wiper. It was attached to the gearbox by a cable, so the faster you went, the faster it wiped. LOL.

Here, one of it's derivatives the Meari is very common.

Yep. Those cars never die. My mom had one, and it was so much fun to travel with (even though the handling was awful). I was too young to drive a car, but today I would love to have one.

Hummn, this link doesn't work for me . . . =)

My Dad "gave" me an Isetta when I was twelve. I drove it all summer ( it never moved, blown engine) and was done with it after that. He sold it as neither of us wanted to fix it. I wanted POWER.

My neighbor drove a Morris Minor convertible for years. Zero power.

My uncle drove a Nash Metropolitan, why I don't know. =) These aren't really good ol cars but . . . I can't get the memory of them out of my HEAD!! ARRRGHHH

Edit: Link finally worked, you're right, love the design . . . =)

Another great car. Possibly one of the rarest, greatest and more expensive cars in all the human history.
