Everybody calls me Giorgio.

FRACT OSC, a TRON-inspired exploration and puzzle game, where you shape the world around you through mixing and creating synthesizer music, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $5.99 for the next 24 hours.

Ever wondered how shaping the world with the power of a synthesizer would work? Probably not. Thanks to FRACT OSC you can see just how much fun it is to bring an abandoned world back to life through adjusting sound and creating music. To start up the machinery and have the notes floating in the air once again, you'll have to solve music-based puzzles travelling through a visually stunning TRON-like world. The game also includes FRACT studio, where you can make your own synthesizer music, with more features available as you progress through the game.

If you've always wanted more Giorgio Moroder sound in your games get FRACT OSC for only $5.99 on GOG.com. The 60% off discount lasts until Thursday, September 25, at 9:59AM GMT.

Zoidberg: I was going to say that I was happy with this being on sale, I had heard nice things of this AND it doesn't have regional price so I'd love to encourage that, but this comment makes me wonder. What are the sound issues?

thuey: It boils down to this:

If you're playing this through a laptop, buyer beware.

It's because:

* It takes big specs to run this game period
* The way modern Intel Processors in laptops work is all about power efficiency / heat dissipation / performance balance. To achieve that combo, sometimes there's throttling in the chip which will cause audio static.
* The developer did test this on a Macbook Pro, and it worked fine for their configuration. But other users are experiencing problems in their MBPs.

That being said... I played this game on my desktop running i3-540 3.06GHz CPU / Radeon HD7870 GPU and there were no problems at all. And the game is really one of my favorite GOG purchases.

Russonc: Will put this on my wish list until I can research it a bit. Looks interesting but want to see some reviews first.

thuey: What's wrong with the reviews that are on the GOG game page (including mine)? :(
Weird...I didn't see reviews this morning.....Ok, just so I don't offend anyone, I'll grab it! :) (Thanks for the reviews by the way)
