graspee: I have a 2250ish backlog but I don't think of it as a backlog anymore, but money I wasted on games I will never play.

IwubCheeze: What the..............!?! How did you...........!?!?! Just...............HUH!?!?!?!?!? Seriously, how did you manage to create a backlog like THAT?!?!
It's very easy to achieve with bundles.
And not even very expensive. For instance, you can get the basic Humble bundles by paying 0.01 dollars...

And of course, there are also freeware bundles, for those who don't want to pay a cent or a dollar.

cal74: Man, 40 games backlog... If I combine GOG and Humble, I'm close to 250 (249... I finished Under a Killing Moon this week-end) which should make me think twice before buying other games but my wishlist is not yet empty so... =)

stevieknix: I know that feeling. Combining Humble and gog puts me up to just over 400. Add Steam onto that and it just gets ridiculous.

I'm going to have to make an effort to play more of these games.
If I convert 10% of the time I spend on Diablo 3, I think I can greatly reduce my backlog but then it'll difficult to gear correctly my Barbarian / Crusader / Wizard :)
*Looks at list of goodies* Holy crap... that's some value right there!

I remember enjoying this game as cheesy FMV fun back in the day... happy to give it another whirl now. Thanks GOG!
I recently purchased a bundle which included a steam key for this game. Since I haven't played it in over a decade I decided to install and it. But no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to work. It started with a black screen and then froze. I tried several compatibility settings, I even reinstalled Quicktime, but nothing worked.
Then I noticed this promo and saw I already owned it on GOG. So I installed the GOG version and when I pushed the "launch game" button it immediately started without any problems.
So kudoos to GOG!

If you want to buy games cheap and you don't mind buying older games or indie titles there are quit a lot of websites that offer interesting bundles. Humble Bundle is probably best known and now offers a multitude of different bundles (weekly bundles, flash bundles, book bundles, humble store). But you can also get nice deals on sites as Indieroyale (related to Desura), Bundlestars and Indiegala. And let's not forget the Steam sales where you can buy games with up to 80% reduction. Which is why I've decided to stop buying new or indie games on GOG since they'll be on a Steam sale almost inevitably.
Great gem promo; great game with a great amount of bonus content at a great price! Grrrreat! :)
Definitely definitely picking this up.

I see now, picking up bundles like that will definately do the trick.

If this was my case, assuming I was going to be gaming until I'm 80 years old and dead set on clearing a 2250 game backlog like graspee has, I would have to finish 45 games a year, or 1 game in a little over a week. Some games are short (like Bad Mojo) but other games usually take longer. Combine that with the fact that I like to do other things than play games so a game a week really isn't a feasable target. Even your backlog of 1000+ games would mean finishing around 20 games a year. Tough to do but still doable I think :)

On the plus side, in game bundles, chances are there's some crap games in there as well and you won't be bothered to finish them. We've seen the same kind of bundles here on GoG afterall. As I'm usually careful with my purchases, I don't usually pick up crap games. So far, there is only 1 game I bought that I won't be finishing because the later missions are tedious and rage inducing. That game was KKND2 btw :)

For someone with a 1000+ game backlog, I think it would be more sensible to stop buying and start playing some of those games :P
I remember buying this back in 1996 from K-Mart. It was one of the few PC games I ever returned because the game would always crash at a certain point, it was near a flame only a few screens into the gameplay.

I might check it out now to see what I missed all those years ago.
Ah, Bad Mojo. Bought it day 1 ... then couldn't play it because GOG didn't have the manual. Then GOG got the manual, but I was playing something else by then, and never did come back to it, even though it looks like something I'd enjoy. Now I've been reminded of its existence again ... just after I started playing the thirty-hour RPG Risen 2. But someday...
